Visited yesterday. First time here. Didn't expect to find Pho available in Seattle so though I'd give this place a try. I'm used to good Pho, and I must say this place lived up to expectations. Went for the Special Pho and the Bahn Mi. the Pho was good, the broth was flavorful and the meat portion was generous. Was slightly miffed that they were out of basil and beansprouts, but forgot about that one I ate the Pho, it had a nice dish flavor, the meat and noodles were good quality. A lot of pho noodles don't reheat great, but my leftovers reheated perfectly. The Bahn Mi was good too. The bread was thicker and not quite what I expect in a Bahn Mi....but it was good, and the fillings were fresh and very tasty. Both the Pho and Bahn Mi were exceptionally better than many of the places I've tried in Seattle. Person at the counter who took my order was on point..very friendly and welcoming. I see other reviews commenting on poor service, odd opening hours, etc....but I didn't experience any of that. Just good food that with a bit more effort could be great food. Came in - no direction on whether to order at counter or sit down. I ended up asking another customer what the protocol was since none of the employees addressed me. The restaurant had just a few tables yet the food took more than 20 minutes to come out. I ordered lemongrass chicken vermicelli and it was the worst I have ever had. The small portion chicken was greasy and coated in oil as it was served fajita style with peppers and onions . Never had that before with pho and I hope I don't ever again. The rice noodles were slimy and mushy and I barely ate any. There was one tiny sprig of basil. The portion was small. To add insult to injury it cost 23.84. I have eaten authentic delicious Thai food in major cities and have never paid that much. No one ever checked on me after delivering the food. Hard pass. read more

I really wanted to try this place again after a bad experience a year or so ago, but please train more people so you can have more staff and better customer service. The good food is ruined by the one person working obviously not having a good time and being on tiktok or something in the back while our to-go food was just getting cold while we sat for 20 min (no one there btw). once people were there, no one was greeted or told where to order or sit, really weird vibe. These couple guests drinks were the priority and not our pre-made looking bahn-mi we ended up getting after the worker was seemly about to sit down to take a break 10 min after making the drinks. Really disappointed and please hire more people so they don't have to work every day of the week(worker mentioned) by themselves. read more

We were the first show up during their dinner hours. The restaurant quickly had the tables filled. Everyone got their orders before us. This was very irritating since we just ordered pho. That doesn't take long to make. I really was excited to try their food but when you feel like your forgotten,,, all that time waiting on the food you then start seeing other things. Flies were everywhere, so many flies. When we finally received the pho, the side of bean sprouts & basil was very small and the basil was dried and black. Entirely mid. We wanted to come here for food, but the wait was over an hour so we decided just to get drinks. I got a Vietnamese coffee which was not sweet at all. It was more like a latte using Vietnamese coffee and was not at all what I was expecting. I wanted a traditional Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. I ended up only drinking half since I didn't want to risk it with the lactose in the milk LOL. We also waited a super long time for our drinks. There were lots of people behind us that ended up getting drinks first. We spent maybe 25 minutes waiting for a drink. I probably would not come back. read more

The tea itself was good, but the boba was hard. I was also charged extra for no ice, and then the cup was missing about 1/5 of the drink, which was dissapointing. My husband and I drove up from Oregon to visit our daughter at CWU, and she was excited for us to take her here because she loves pho. The web site says they are open until 8. We arrived at 7 pm and all the neon signs were glowing "Open." We went inside and the employee working there said "sorry but we've closed the kitchen." An hour early? While leaving the "Open" sign on the window and the door open? This is completely unacceptable. I have no idea how the food is since they wouldn't let us order anything. What horrible management and despicable lack of customer service. We will be in Ellensburg often during our daughter's college career. Thanks to this unprofessionalism, we will never be eating here. We arrived at 12:10 and left the place at 1:50 because our food took over an hour to get ready. This place is full of flies all over. Food was alright but definitely not worth the wait. Multiple costumers went up to ask for their food and were shut down rudely. They told new costumers the kitchen was closed at 12:30...... 12:30 on a Saturday..... This is our third time trying to get pho and it was closed early one time without notice online or on the door, ran out of food the next, and we got there two hours before closing and the girl told us they're closing early. The workers seem either stressed bc of understaffing or very dismissive/irritated that us customers are walking in. Used to come here a lot, usually for bubble tea but occasionally we'd stop in and get food. The last time we went, though, might just be the last. First things first: the menu has been...well, gutted. If I had to guess, I'd say about half of the options are gone, with no real explanation as to why. This normally wouldn't have been a problem, except for the fact that one of those missing items happened to be the only thing my roommate ever ordered. The crispy chicken we got instead was fine, nothing out of the ordinary, but we ended up packing most of it to go anyway. This has always been an issue, but during our last visit in particular, the music was really, really loud, to the point where it became a struggle to focus on much of anything. After a while, it started to give both of us a pretty nasty headache - we just had to leave. The service was fine. No real complaints. They've shifted from a more traditional restaurant experience to getting your menu at and ordering from the counter, which was a little jarring, but not really a big deal. Regardless, I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. This used to be a favorite of ours, even with the prices being a bit high, but considering the menu changes and the increasingly unfriendly atmosphere, it's just not worth the money anymore. read more

Surprised that a restaurant with such indifference to customers can survive, this was my second time trying this place and I am never going back. The first time I was surprised how small the portion size was given the price and quality (got a meat dish with practically no meat), this time my boba tea arrived without boba, I let the waitress know the boba was missing, she stated I needed to ask specifically for it, even though boba is in the name of the item (and literally in multiple pictures all over their retaurant with boba in it). Okay, so I asked to get some boba, and the waitress said actually they were out, so which is it - does boba tea not come with boba unless you double ask for it, or is the server lying? Excellent service and great boba, Young T & Tea is one of my favorite places in ellensburg. Normally I don't eat in, but when I do, the ambiance is wonderful, with lots of good sound and really cool art. It doesn't get too loud, like some other places, and there's rarely a line. read more

I returned after being blown away last time, but this time I walked away a little underwhelmed. I ordered their tiramisu milk tea and have 2 main complaints. 1) I tasted their balls again and they were all super undercooked with a hard core (see pic). 2) I discovered I was unable to adjust sweetness levels on certain drinks like milk teas. That being said their full sweetness drinks aren't as sweet as other places, but I'd still like the option of reducing sweetness to better match my preferences. The tiramisu was a tad too sweet for me. I rate the drink a 3/5 this time. Averaging my 2 visits leaves a 4/5. On the plus side, customer service was friendly and fast again, they nailed the actual flavor of tiramisu, establishment was clean, and easy parking. read more

Avoid. Dirty place. Smells of raw sewage and should have been closed for health and safety violations but in Ellensburg they probably can get away with that. Smell comes from the bathroom door that can not be closed from outside because of broken handle. Very slow to serve. Food is tasteless and mixture of Thai and Vietnamese but is not even close on the taste compared with other Asian restaurants. Floors are black not because of color but from grease and dirt. read more

Having been a long time customer I can attest that this (and their sister location, Young T Bar) is the BEST food in Ellensburg. The decor is trendy, the music is banging, and the food is always delicious. If you want quality food, this is the place to go!!! Their pho is as good as any pho you can find on the west side (I'd wager even better, as I'm oftentimes left underwhelmed when I eat at other restaurants) with an authentic, slow cooked broth that is to die for. Their wings are big and juicy, and their Bahn Mi's always hit the spot when looking for a lighter meal (or get two like I do). Drink selection is wide and always has seasonal specials with enough toppings to satisfy any milk tea craving. I highly recommend you come here if you are looking for Asian food with a purpose. read more

Prices are very high, but it's hard to take a star off for that because ellensburg is in the middle of nowhere and cost of ingredients is probably high. The Pho Ga (chicken pho) was good, but the broth is missing that intense yummy taste you get in Seattle. The boba is really soft and good, but the "cheese" classic boba wasn't very sweet. I paid $50 after tip for gyozas, a small pho, and two boba drinks (one for someone else). This would be too much for a college crew, and locals would most likely be scared of the new age type food. Delicious! Every drink is made with a lot of heart. You can see how hard the staff work on a daily basis ! They truly shine, the drinks are amazing. The atmosphere is so fun and you can see the love that went into creating the space. I love the snack options and the variety of additions to the bubble teas! Our town has needed this for a long time. All the drinks, boba and jellies taste fresh! They are made in a hurry and with great attention to detail. I'd say Young T & Tea is mediocre at best. I understand that they are probably the only Boba shop north of the cascades, so I wish they could actually blow me away considering Seattle etc has so many amazing boba shops. It just doesn't compare. They're really just okay. Boba has good chew, but flavor is lacking. They try to be creative with their flavors but a lot of it seems like its just syrup and powders. Not many options for dairy alternatives. They do use non-dairy creamer but that's probably because thats what is in the powder mixes. Happy there is some form of diversity in the area, but they could definitely do better. Their staff is very sweet mostly young college students. They are always very helpful and that's really what makes me want to support their business is these kids work hard and deserve good money for all their genuine efforts. read more
