I want you all to be aware of a situation that arose when I recently hired Kamal Young/Young's Landscaping to remove snow after the last storm. I hired him to remove the Snow from two adjoining properties. I came by after he had done the first one and made the mistake of paying him in full. He left without doing the other property. When I came back and saw this I texted him. He apologized for the misunderstanding and promised to be there first thing in the next morning. He never came. I texted him more. A drainage system and bolders were installed, mulches were spread, and deer resistant, shade tolerant robust shrubs were planted. Mike Covert and his artist architect Chris listened attentively during several consultations and used their expertise to transform our ideas into a lovely reality. A few years ago, we had some hardscape work completed in our back yard. Unfortunately, the grass we had was challenged by the dogs and the heat. So much so that it ruined the look of the hardscape. I did some research to see if artificial turf could be an option for us. In my search I found that Youngs Landscape Management dealt with this and was not that far away. I reached out to them, and Mike got back. We discussed what our options were, and he came down to take a look. We agreed to move forward. We are so glad that we did, it turned a mess into a yard out of a magazine. Fast forward to a few months ago we decided to have the artificial turf put down on the front lawn also. I reached out to Mike, and he remembered who we were. I told him what we wanted to have them put down the same turf on the front yard as they did in the back. Last week they completed the job in two days and again it looks like out of a magazine. If you are thinking of the artificial turf option, give them a call you will not be disappointed. read more

I used this company for my home, first the pros - they did a nice job with the stone and pavers part of the job, no complaints there. Now the not so good, just about all of the plants and shrubs they planted died. I called, and their rep came out and inspected the dead and dying plants and said I did not water enough. I mentioned that I did water the plants and was not given a watering schedule. I was even willing to pay for some of the repairs and replacement plantings. I never heard from them again. Recently, when I unearthed the dead shrubs Young's planted, I found that all the roots were still bound and sacked, some say this has no effect on the plants ability to grow, but I and other landscapers do not agree with that. I replaced everything myself with the help of our lawn service and am having no problems. Not only did they do poor plant work, but what really gets me is the shitty customer service. read more

Is it possible not to give even one star?? We spent over 40,000 yes that's FORTY THOUSAND dollars with Youngs landscaping. One half of our trees and shrubs are DEAD, planted incorrectly (Beechwood landscaping and Martinez landscaping BOTH looked at the job). When they planted the original trees and shrubs some of them came in threes or fours. It was obvious from the start that they didn't give me 3 equally healthy shrubs or trees and when I confronted them on planting day MARK DELPRATO ASSURED us the "runts" would catch up or he would replace them. Flash forward one year later they REFUSE to even replace or remove their DEAD trees. When I called we were told that they treat all of their customers the same whether they spend 50 , 500 or 1,000 dollars, well ok try 40,000 dollars. I am sick to my stomach and now have to fight for my money or replacements. This is consumer fraud and bad karma. They know what we spent, and they know what is dead. I don't give a rats ass if it is 14 months instead of 12 months for their guarantee is that how they like to stick it to their customers? SHAME ON YOU read more

I hired this company to do a revamp of my landscape beds and remove a rock formation and small concrete pad in my backyard when we first moved in. The sales guy Mike seemed decent at the time but boy did that change. When they did my beds they layed a very thin layer of mulch which will now need to have more added next year. When they came out Mike gave me an attitude cause I wanted to have input into where the new plants and bushes were going. After they finished the job there was a lot of concrete remaining in my backyard from the removal. One of the trees they replanted fell over after some light winds came through due to not being planted correctly. It took them 4 days to come back out and stand it back up= and when they did they blamed me. They told me I was overwatering it when I followed exactly what Mike the salesman said. The tree died and they refused to replace it for free telling me they would do it for cost.They blamed me again saying it was not being watered which it was. 35 minutes per zone 2x a week plus I was filling the bed of the tree. It couldn't have been from the tree laying on the ground for 4 days? After a couple months I now have these tough ground weeds back in my beds because they never completely removed the old roots from the soil. They tried telling me they were purple nutsedge and they clearly aren't as I have them in other parts of my yard which I've had to correct myself. During the sales process I stressed over and over again how I wanted my grass baselined and I was promised that they would take care of it and the lawn would look great through their lawn care program and the price they were charging me. The lawn looks worse now then when they started the program. I have weeds, crabgrass, and purple nutsedge growing in my grass and they refuse to address the issues. They continue to blame me and refuse to take responsibility for anything. This company is useless and the saleguy, Mike, is rude and ignorant. read more

We have done major landscaping & hardscaping to our property and are extremely pleased with the results . We had received 3 estimates from 3 different companies all of which where in the same ballpark . However we chose Young's Landscspe Management because of their professionalism , quality of work & their ability to meet all deadlines as promised. Would highly recommend them !! read more
