First let me start off by saying I had no Idea this was a nude facility. As my aunt was dropping me off at the front door I got a casual "You know this is nude right?" and although I really DIDN'T know it was nude I was too embarrassed to say I was shy so I just got a hold of myself and decided "what the hell? lets do this sheit." I guess I should say this place is "clothing optional" but I didn't see a single person wearing clothes I know it may be weird to even bring it up but I feel like its a very important point to touch on for people (like me) who have never been to such an establishment. . I was expecting to walk in and see naked people parading around with their surgically enhanced an altered bodies, and other weirdos staring and being in appropriate but to my pleasant surprise that's not what I got at all. For a minute I forgot I was in Holland where people are inherently more chill and less shallow. Where am I? What is this place? There are people of all shapes and sizes just being REGULAR. no weirdos. no creeps. no body flaunters. just regular people like me being kind to their bodies and enjoying the relaxation. And believe me... there's a lot of relaxing to be done at this place. Now to get to the important part which is the facility itself. am I allowed to say amazeballs on yelp? because AMAZEBALLS. so when we say sauna here in the US what comes to mind is a small 20x20 room with a few people in it enjoying the heat. This is not just your ordinary "sauna".. oh, no no no.,... This is a dutch sauna overload megaplex. There is every different kind of dry sauna, steam room, and plunge pool you can imagine and then some. we're talking high temperature dry sauna, low temperature dry sauna. dry sauna with a salt wall, citrus steam room with different levels, eucalyptus steam room, heated tile seats, plunge pools, hot tubs, indoor pool, outdoor pool, lawn chairs, lounge, bar, restaurant, spa, salt scrub room, infrared lights, and the list goes on. It may not sound as cool as it actually is, and maybe I'm just over-reacting because we don't have anything like this, but seriously, GO HERE. So many Not to mention if you need a little break from the heat or the water you can go to the lounge which is a room where people can lounge on comfy couches and read or nap or meditate or whatever. there's pillows and fire places and so many different seating arrangements it will make your head spin. everyone in the lounge is robed. hungry? grab a bite to eat while you're at it. there's a little restaurant and bar on site. I got a cheese "toastie" and mango smoothie. so delicious! The facility is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I could have spent all day in there.... oh wait... I DID! :)

I visited many other massages, including various famous physiotherapists in Amsterdam and various Thai wellness centers in and outside of Europe, but the work of this woman Janika was above everything and everybody. Once we moved to Amsteram we started to look for a nice place where we could get a massage on regular basis. After nine months of trials and errors we found Sala Thai Wellness which is a place where we already visit for last half a year. Massages are good and you dont have impression that a person just does it for the first time in a life. Nevetheless, it is important to note that ladies who do a massage are changing ( working in shifts?) and not of them are equally good. What makes me feel really greatful to Sal Thai Wellness is that a pain in my lower back completly disappeared (and i was already struggling with it for some years). They sell essential oils, scrubs and bombs there are really nice and they also sell salts for in the bath! They also sell a bunch of gadgets for massaging yourself at home. This was the second massage I ever had and my first time at doctor feelgood. While I was waiting a guy came out of the room and he was being massaged by Vera, and he was shouting about how much she had fixed him, so I thought I'm in for a treat maybe? Maybe she can fix my back too I was asked to fill a massage form, and I had to tell a little bit about myself and also mark on a picture the places that I had pain and the sensitive areas. I could also choose the pressure of the massage and some other things. They have endless options of types of massages and levels of professionals and duration. I had a top therapist massage with Vera of 45 mins. It was a custom massage fit to my needs. I chose for it to be very calming and soothing and medium pressure, which I regretted later because the massage therapist was so gentle that it didn't hurt at all. I was a bit traumatised by the other massage that I had at another place, so I asked her multiple times to go easy on me. I could totally maybe even go through her Deep tissue massage, because she knew what she was doing, she was very gentle and so calming. She didn't push any boundaries. She really is the most calm person I ever met. She made me feel very comfortable and they take your privacy very seriously. So if you're concerned about taking off your clothes and people seeing too much of you, you don't have to. Even when I had to roll around she covered me with the towel. The rooms are perfect, they are dark and the music is also on point. I find that sometimes people put calming music that they think will be calmingbut it usually just stresses me even more (like those with someone singing "ooowwwooOOooooo" crazy!) I had a great experience. I literally fell asleep and I am a "forever stressed" kind of person. When I got there it was pouring rain and I was so wet and I was a bit stressed already, Vera just took all my problems away with her kind touch. After my massage I had no pressure at all to get dressed and get out, and then I could just had a cup of tea but I chose to buy one coconut water bottle from their fridge. I will take the tea next time though. It's a great location and they have crazy opening hours like someone previously stated here, so you can just get a massage whenever you want. I will definitely be going back.
