Cynthia and her crew are simply the BEST! The ease in communication, their promptness and service is second to none. They have been taking care of our fur babies for over 3 years now and we couldn't be happier. After each visit they send a picture of the puppers to us. I don't know what I would do without them. Our favorite sitter, Gloria, is always so helpful. She loves our furr babies like they are her own. My babies get so excited to see her. The pictures she sends me really shows they listen to her, she has their trust, and she has the training and experience to keep them in line. We've used Your Helping Paws for overnights, vet pick ups, daily walks and feedings, emergency feeds, and even to come over after my surgery in which she not only took care of my dogs, but also took care of me! I was happy with the price I was quoted but then they insisted on a charge to drop/ pick the keys up so I had to go with someone else. They really shouldn't nickle and dime their customers. The best Dogwalker's I've found! My dogs are excited to see their walkers each time. We have an older dog, who had some knee issues and surgeries. Cynthia and her team were able to follow the Vets instructions post surgery. What a relief to have caring folks who can support the needs at any given time. I am very impressed with this business! I was originally with another pet sitter for about 5 years but she decided to let the business go. We were sad to see her go but she referred is to Your Helping Paws. I have special needs kitties who need a little extra care so of course, I needed to meet with our new sitter first. I contacted the owner and made an appointment, she was very accommodating to my schedule. Not only did the owner come to our meeting but she brought her employees with her! So I basically met every person who would visit my home! It was very comforting. I walked her through my cats needs and she informed me of all they do while visiting, cleaning, sweeping, playing with the animals, taking pictures (she asked if she was allowed to post the pictures on their Facebook page which I was more than happy to allow). I was very impressed with her thoroughness! During my travel I received texts and pictures of my furbabies. Updates as needed and I came home to a clean home with happy kitties. Pricing is reasonable. You can really tell the people running this business really love animals and take the time to really listen to your needs. They go above and beyond. I have used this pet service for over 5 years. They are dependable, loving, and reasonably priced. Cynthia the owner has a heart of gold and used to be a hospice nurse. Gloria our sitter now for at least 2 years is nothing less than an angel. I've called last minute, I've asked for extras because of circumstances and they are always gracious and accommodating. We had a mentally challenged Maltese that they would set with overnight and come every few hours in her old and dying years. She loved them. Now our cats who hate everyone, loves Gloria. I can't recommend them highly enough after dealing with so many previous flaky pet sitting agencies. read more

Businesses response: "but will set the record straight by letting folks know that we never just arbitrarily declare someone's yard too long to scoop, We take photos and provide them to the Client before taking such steps." But you expect your customers to agree to a "policy" that essentially gives you the right to deny service and still charge full price for denying said service? Whether you would actually do it or not, why would you expect customers to agree to that? The point is, one of your employees *could* find one clump of tall grass, take a picture of it, and walk away and still get paid. And if I agreed to this "policy" I'd be out my $35 for that visit and would have no recourse to get it back. The problem with this policy is that you, as the business, are the sole arbitrator of what constitutes "too tall" and there's no way to dispute it. "We take photos and provide them to the Client before taking such steps. So far, it has never come to that." So you send out this passive aggressive email threatening to charge customers for having tall grass because it's never been an issue? Do you realize how insulting that is to our intelligence? "As for requiring payment up front for Poop Scoop services, we have continued the same policy established by the prior owner to cope with those Clients who are late paying or do not pay at all." And I never complained about paying up-front. I only pointed out that these two policies combined (Your right too to deny service and charge full price for it and having to pay up front) leaves you with all the power and leaves a customer powerless should they dispute your findings. Also, after all this non-sense I went online and did some searching around for alternative providers. I found THREE different companies, emailed all three, and they ALL quoted me $15/visit for the same yard you were charging $35/visit to service. So I guess in a way, I'm saying thank you for pissing me off with your passive aggressive emails because it's saved me $40/month. read more

I've been using Your Helping Paws for over 4 years now. Cynthia has been key in helping us raise 3 of our dogs, all of which we brought home at 8 weeks old. I am a very particular person by nature, and even more particular when it comes to my dogs. When we brought home our Great Dane puppy 4 years ago, I interviewed more than 5 local pet sitting services in my area. I nixed every one of them the moment they walked in my door, for various and sundry reasons. The day before we left for a monthlong trip, one of our cats had symptoms of a UTI. While I was waiting for a response from our vet, Cynthia talked me through common treatments and how she (and her great staff--especially Alea and Christy) would ensure our cat received the help she needed.
