Our insurance covered approximately half that amount, still an outrageous fee for what he did. He briefly read the results of our blood tests to me over the phone, and I had to ask his office to mail me the results. My contact with him, whether in his office over via phone, lasted no more than 30 minutes, and the information and insight he provided into the reason we sought his services in the first place were minimal. Perhaps he was just having a bad day, but we will not return to him.

He takes the time necessary to understand what is going on with your health, is patient and detail-oriented, and wants to ensure that he collects all of the necessary information to make the most informed diagnosis and care. Needless to say, after various tests, he made a diagnosis, then made a referral to a specialist for me who seconded it. He was dead on accurate! Again, he determined my issue at an initial appointment while various doctors and hospitals could not do so. I am now on a care regimen and my issues are being managed. When I need something or have a question, he takes the time to see me or speak to me on the phone. His office staff are lovely, kind, compassionate, and helpful, whether it is to schedule an appointment, to follow up, or call with a question. Secondly I am 3 years clean & sober, use the 12-steps of recovery in my daily life, and have a sponsor & a CASAC therapist with decades of professional experience. Yes Saltzman has a counselor onsite for individual/group therapy, & yes recovery via Suboxone has a higher success rate when combined with those things..but you do not need to get it here. **BE WARY OF REVIEWS BY PEOPLE WHO HAVENT OBTAINED ACTIVE YELP ACCOUNTS** When I stopped seeing her and wrote an honest review on Yelp, she relentlessly contacted Yelp over and over again to have the reviews removed. In addition, she's manipulated others into writing positive reviews. I requested my records multiple times about a year ago (and haven't received them to date). After discovering that I left her practice, she looked up my name in the NYS prescription database to find my new doctors name, and contacted him, AND ADVISED HIM NOT TO TREAT ME. Whatever she must have said during that conversation is, I'm sure, an absolute total law breaker. It was then that I retained an attorney. After his cease and desist letter, she still did not send me my records. She is in violation of so many codes of conduct not just medically, but ethically. Not only has she withheld my medical records, but she's given my full name out to anonymous callers along with false information, and defamed my character (to say the least) spreading extremely serious accusations. Read your mail & keep track of your appointments/receipts/records. For 2 years, I suffered through her money-hungry, insensitive "practice" not to mention wasted literally thousands of dollars on trips to her office. Suboxone is an absolute miracle and when used correctly we are certainly on the frontier of a breakthrough in opiate addiction...but I remind you: SHE IS NOT YOUR ONLY OPTION. People, this is insane. I would have no reason to write any of this unless it actually happened to me. I am in total disbelief that a medical "professional"..who supposedly took AN OATH...has conducted herself in this way.
