During a lunchtime visit, my hubby left his laptop at the Yreka Black Bear Diner so we called and spoke to Dakota and she secured it behind the hostess station. After a sleepless night (my husband is an author and all his work was on that computer) we tried calling the next morning and the phones were down so my next move was to call Yreka PD. Kelly, who took my call and confirmed the phone lines were down at the restaurant, sent an officer down there (sorry I forgot his name) who took possession of the laptop and immediately called us back. I was then connected with Janene in lost & found/claims and we arranged to have the laptop shipped to us through Fed Ex but the pick up window had passed. Out of desperation I called this company and Mark assured me that if the laptop could be dropped off before 4:30 Fed Ex would pick it up which they did and it arrived safely the next day. We can't thank the quick thinking and caring staff of BBD, Yreka PD and Yreka Mailbox & Computer enough! Oh, and the food at BBD is really good too! From the rude attitude just as we walked in, to the "dissertation" we were given on how we're making assumptions about all places that ship for UPS, to the nickel & diming for every little "service" you provide! No one needs or wants to be chastised when attempting to bring business to a local store! We were driving back home to So Cal from Oregon and decided to stop at the casino close by. My boyfriend needed to print his temporary license renewal. We went to 5 or 6 different places looking for somewhere to print and finally saw Yreka mailbox. They were so nice letting us email it to them and helped us through the technical issues (me) of sending it to them. Their customer service was above and beyond despite the money or repeat business they would receive from us. Appreciate these guys and totally recommend. read more

Complete rip off. Once I had to walk out of their location due to their outrageous prices & then called months later to ask about pricing on something else & was blown away & outraged all over again. The only reason they're still in business is because it's a monopoly & they are literally taking advantage of the disabled & resourceless people of Siskiyou county that don't have access to other services. Kim is so conscientious, competent and focused on providing excellent service in this small town rural area. It was such a great thing to find someone with her computer skills in this rural area, and not needing to either mail it or wait for someone who only comes in 2 days a week. Her hard work and quick turn around save the day, and about $300. Impressive! I saw some of the negative reviews from people not from here or rural areas, especially those from major metropolitan areas. They just do not get it. What Kim provides is the best it can be in this rural, on the edge of frontier, area. Hard to keep good staff, much less train. Also not easy to maintain relationships with large companies such UPS and FEDEX in a way that your business can survive. Kim provides all she can and is very up front on what she can do and what she cannot. I like and respect that. She has our loyal patronage. read more

I am grateful for the mailbox store in town, especially since UPS has absolutely ridiculous hours...like 12:30-2??? They offer a bunch of services like internet, printing, packing, notary, fingerprinting, electronics disposal, ebay selling...probably more too..That's all I can remember. Anyways, Dori is the face of the operation and she has always been sweet to me and my family. My only complaint is the prices are high, but they have to make money so I recommend them. read more

Really good place for mailboxes, and basic computer help as well. They have reasonable rates for private mailboxes with addresses that are easy to deal with, and free courtesy notices when you get UPS or other packages delivered to them. On the computer side, they have a decent room with working (though pretty slow) Windows machines, and they actually know enough to help you get basic things done on them easily -- again, for free, as long as you're paying the very low fee for access to the machines. This place is not fancy like the big Kinko's or anything, but friendly, reliable, and quite usable. read more

Never ever again! There MUST be some where better in town. Customer service is awful. But she thinks she's great in that department. Really? They make a Fed Ex commitment, Fed Ex doesn't deliver on time, but Yreka Mailbox has to be the one to reimburse you. And Fed Ex will reimburse them, says Fed Ex. But first they act like they are doing you a favor, and tell you wait 2 weeks for your refund, but after 3 weeks, they won't return your calls, or call you back with information. How can places get away with things like this! NEVER NEVER GO HERE. read more

First time in the store: I received great customer service today at Yreka Mailbox & Package Services--and so did the guy who blew his top. The two women who were working might well be in line for sainthood (or should at least get some flowers and chocolate) for their amazing patience and self-control. A man came in while I was being waited on. He wanted to use the computers to print something. At least a dozen times he interrupted both employees to ask questions--he had no clue how to print using his USB flash drive (he couldn't even find the start icon). Both employees were busy, but took time to answer his questions. Finally, the woman who was helping me kindly offered to print behind the counter for him, at no extra charge. His papers were printed and in his hand when he was asked for payment. Apparently he thought it was a free service (????). He refused to pay, threw the papers on the counter, and huffed out of the store, spewing threats of a bad Yelp review. There were several customers in the store. Both ladies who were working handled this situation with so much grace. They didn't raise their voices or rise to his threats. I told them I would write a positive review. This is it: not only was everyone in the store treated respectfully at a busy time (including the tantrum-thrower), but the woman who waited on me went out of her way to get me the best shipping prices and delivery times on the boxes I was mailing. She also printed labels for every side of a fragile-handle-with-care-this-side-up box for me--at no extra charge. The store was tidy and organized, well-lit, and friendly. I'll be going back. They also have refurbished computers and laptops, cards and stationary items, and some local things (local honey) and interesting knick knacks. read more

Yreka Mailbox can ship to Germany, to France, to Ten Buck Two Texas too, and they can get things there fast or slow depending on my needs. They are friendly and tried to make my business quick and painless. When I ship there I'm always happy with the results. They sell greeting cards, local products and packing supplies and they even sold me a great computer! I also had them repair my Desktop computer and they were quicker then I was expecting and awesome. read more

Worst customer service I have ever witnessed! The clerk, Dori was condescending and unprofessional. Even though I came to my appointment on time, with appropriate identification to have my fingerprints done for a nursing license, as was instructed on the application, she insisted that I needed another form but refused to tell me which form. She then told me that I should have read the form online and condescendingly suggested that I didn't know how to follow instructions. After I found the form and had completed it, she completely ignored my presence in the store while she went about reprimanding a fellow employee in training. She was also rude and condescending to him. It was an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional interaction. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

I will never go back to this place. Wow, the customer service was terrible! The woman treated me other than the best ever and I felt discrimination. First, I walked in and after a few minutes of her sitting behind a desk not acknowledging me I decided to greet her! I asked her if she new if her copy and mailing center was more expensive than the post office, she had no clue and looked at me blankly. Okay then, I told her what I needed to have done..some copies. B/t her and I there was a mix up with how many copies were made. She treated me very poorly and made it all my fault, which you NEVER do in customer service. I assumed I would not have to pay for the excess copies, as this has happened to me at Staples and they just see it as an error. She would not let that go and had a lack mentality. And insisted its my fault and I have to pay....my request was that the errors were just shredded. She would not oblige. Her class was zilch! This is what you get when you head to the wild wild west of Yreka. Unprofessional business. read more

I guess its cool they exist in a small town like Yreka, customer service is okay, and well they want to make money, they will want to package your things if you go to buy a box, at a pretty high rate, if not you'll have to leave the store and pack it at your car.
