The donuts are good. The service has room for improvement. I feel rushed to make a choice and feel like they just want to get me out of their way every time I go in. This donut shop is on the corner, easy access from the 10 freeway exit on E 4th Street. They have a good number of selection of donuts. We walked in around 11:00p and we were assisted immediately by a friendly staff member. They offer more than a variety of donuts. They also have muffins, croissants, pastries, bagels and, I believe, sandwiches too? I got some donut holes, 7/$1. Sweet late night cravings... my primary care physician won't be too happy at my next appt for sure. The donuts were fresh and delicious and I'm glad I didn't have to wait till morning to buy some. There is a small section of seating inside the shop. We have a Yum Yum in Sacramento too on Franklin Blvd but SoCal has more locations. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE! So thankful for Uber Eats. My best friend and I have an inside joke where we call each other "Wifey" because she proposed to me one drunk night on 4/20. So now it's our anniversary and we celebrate it every year. This year, I couldn't be there to celebrate with her, due to this whole quarantine situation. So that morning, she tells me about how she woke up disappointed because she dreamt of a box of donuts. She knew it was a dream so she tried to grab them before she woke up, but wasn't able to. I had the genius idea of finding a donut shop near her place that could deliver. I researched a few places, called in, and Yum Yum Donuts came through. They use Uber Eats as their delivery service. I've never used Uber Eats until now, believe it or not. I set up an account, give the driver her gate code and instructions to leave it at her door since she was 5 minutes away from her house, and I anxiously wait for her to arrive at her box of donuts. It was seriously the most exciting thing ever. Literally could not have been more perfect. The best outcome! I could see a live view of the Uber driver's car on the way to the donut shop to her house. So thankful Yum Yum Donuts literally made my best friend's dream come true. read more

Yum yum donuts has friendly team members who greet you immediately when you walk in. The wait in the mornings may take approximately ten minutes due to the morning rush but well worth the wait. I get the combo which is a breakfast sandwich (there are a variety to choose from) on a onion bagel and choice of donut or chips. There are no restrooms, the dining area is clean, there are plasma TVs and the outside parking lot is clean. The only thing that frustrates me are the bums/pan handlers in the front before you walk in begging for money. I ignore them usually unless I'm with my daughters then have to bulldog them because my daughters get scared which they shouldn't have to feel intimidated at Yum Yum donuts - the reason for the four stars. read more

Ripped Off - Worst Donut Shop Ever Saturday night, I purchased their advertised Veggie Sandwich with Avocado and Cucumber on a Jack Cheese bagel at 9:42 per their receipt. AFter ordering and paying, it became clear that the staff was not used to making these. They came around and read what was supposed to be on the sandwich and asked me what type of bagel I wanted. They did not have Jack Cheese bagels which was fine with me as they had other good choices. The sandwich cost $5.79 and I also ordered a donut and a coke. While I waited, one other person came in, chatted it up, was served and left. AFter 10 or so minutes had lapsed, I noticed that it didn't seem like anyone was making my sandwich and I was just standing there, in this donut shop, with no indication that I was going to get my food. There were four staff members with two of them working making donuts in the back and two of them talking up front. I politely asked if someone was going to be making my sandwich knowing they had totally forgot about it. The woman whom I believe was the manager on site told me that it was still being made. But it was the person she was chatting it up with up front that then started to make my sandwich. I walked to the other side of the store and watched him make my sandwich. I could scarcely believe my eyes when he doused my avocado cucumber sandwich in mustard. I had had it and asked them to refund my money. I had literally been there about 20 minutes while four employees failed to be able to make my sandwich correctly. But they refused to give me back my money. Well, it wasn't quite a refusal, but I was told that I would have to come back "very early in the morning" to talk with the owner about getting a refund. I was livid and did not want to accept that they were keeping my money for a sandwich that they couldn't deliver. Eventually, the manager said she could remake my sandwich but I was done arguing, done waiting, and couldn't believe they'd rather have this dissatisfied of a customer rather than giving them back their money paid for food not received. So I've been going to this yum yum for years. I've always bought dozens of donuts for potlucks at my nearby work. I like the donuts here, I don't care what other people say that chain restaurants have icky donuts. This time however, I will no longer be going here. Went here at 630pm just before work to pick up 2 dozen donuts for a potluck. I've only experienced bad service a few times in my life and this is one of them. I was behind a couple that seemed to have been waiting a bit. the worker was in the back for a good 7 or 8 min preparing something for a previous customer that ordered. There was not another worker around to tend to us. When she finished, she tended to the couple which took awhile. That couple took awhile to order certain things but the worker would walk to he back and sigh out loud. Then I thought I was next but another customer came in and the worker attended to her first before me for no reason. I waited another 7 or so min for them to finish. And yet again, I was next in line but another customer walks and and as the worker walks towards me, she turns the other way tend to the new customer. What the heck was that? I just left. Im not tryna make this a "social" issue, but was it the fact that I was the only one not speaking Spanish or of Hispanic origin in general that made her ignore me? Parking can be full, I have parked close by, the donut shop has a rather small lot. The people working have been polite and helpful.
