Bad food and even worse service. I only tried this place because Buxx was closed, what a mistake. I ordered from UberEats for pickup and on the app they have a BOGO promo for the chicken teriyaki. When I get there, the older lady at the counter got mad at me for using the BOGO deal. She kept on repeating "you should've ordered other stuff too! We are losing money because of people like you." I've never visited any establishment and spoken to like that. First of all, if you don't want customers to order the BOGO deal from ubereats then please remove it - it's YOUR restaurant's CHOICE to have that offer. Secondly, I can empathize with you as a business owner where you're coming from but that is the wrong way to speak to and treat a patron. There was another customer there ordering food and it was so uncomfortable having her berate me in front of them. She made me feel like I was stealing from them. Wow the older female employee here is nasty. Asked for some extra sauce and she said it cost 30 cents. Fine. Still wanted it. Pulled out my card to pay and she said "no! No card!" I have been on them lookout for my next favorite teriyaki place since mine closed last year. I've tried a few and hit on Yum Yum Teriyaki. Excellent food. Charbroiled chicken pieces. I'd like a little more sauce or even better yet an extra sauce. Quick delivery thru Door Dash. Everything was packaged nice and clean. Even tried the Gyoza and it was wonderful. I also appreciated the cold crisp salad. The flavors were all wonderful and I think finally found my new place!!!! read more

I used to go here with my friends after school during high school. I haven't been back here since until recently, and found it be still be reasonable with the prices, and quality kind of the same as I remembered. Maybe new owners? I love the spicy chicken and that's what I always get where. However, the normal chicken is just so bad. I ordered it one time to have something different than what I get, and I was seriously disappointed. Not only is this far from where I live, but when I got home and tried it, I just couldn't eat it. It was saltier than the water at Elliot's Bay. The last time I went, the cashier was on her phone, and didn't acknowledge me until a minute later when she put her phone away. It's interesting how bad self awareness they had. I haven't dined here since high school, and I wouldn't recommend it. It's pretty outdated and those flappy things at the door are annoying. But, I like their spicy chicken, and it's a reasonable price compared to the other places in this area. read more

This place was great! I usually go to Bux Teriyaki but they closed a bit earlier than I was ready to eat but I went here (and Yum Yum is a bit closer to my house). Simple spot with a few tables inside but you can tell this is more of a takeout spot. Totally hole in the wall in the corner of a little strip mall but man the yakisobas are so good! We got the combo yakisobas twice and they were so good. Not cheap on the proteins and love the good amount of rice they gave with them. The eggrolls were also really good. Also, this spot is a few bucks cheaper for the traditional dishes than other spots in the area which is always a plus but the quality does not suffer. Yum Yum is right! I ordered this via a delivery service and it was really good. I like the teriyaki sauce a lot. All of the food was delicious. I even got two egg rolls on the side and they were delicious also. I understand they have daily specials and those aren't listed on the delivery sites, so next time I will try and make the trip in. I've been going to this place for years! The food was always up to par with the price it was sold for- nothing too fancy, but still yummy! Unfortunately, today I found three hairs in my chicken teriyaki meal and it has really grossed me out. I've found a hair in my food before at this place, but shrugged it off. We finally were able 2 make it a point 2 go the length 2 have lunch @ Yum Yum Teriyaki ! I was pleasantly surprised that their teriyaki sauce is the kind of sauce that our local people in Hawaii "loves" !!! The taste is spot on & so-o-o "delicious" !! They didn't disappoint My husband had their Won Ton soup . It had a lot of veggies 2 & he enjoyed it so-o-o much because the soup was "tasty" !!! First started going here about 11 years ago because I work in White Center. This was always my favorite teriyaki joint but with prices rising the last couple years.. it's not worth it anymore. Today just kind of confirmed it for me. Teriyaki lunch special used to be $5.49, now $7.49 before tax and the spicy chicken lunch special is $9.49. WHAT?? You've got to be sh*ting me, seriously. That ain't no lunch special... and every food entree is $10+ but now short ribs rising to $13.99. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING!! With the price you pay here, you're better off going to a chinese restaurant and ordering the whole entree with a side of rice for the same price. Food is alright here but NOT worth the price I'm paying. Bye bye yum yum.. I'll take myself elsewhere if I ever crave teriyaki. For the kind of eatery this is it definitely deserves the five stars. I got a lunch special to go. I removed the salad from the bag because the food was so very hot. I got the generals chicken and it is a bit spicy. The salad is iceberg lettuce w grated carrot and a sweet dressing. The portion is large and I really loved the bite sized pieces of chicken. The service is friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I saw other plates coming out and they looked great too! Enjoy! This was my first visit and won't be my last! read more

This was my go-to Teriyaki place for 15 yrs but has fallen short of my normal expectations lately. Yum Yum is under a different ownership and unfortunately the integrity of the high quality food didn't carryover well with the new owners. It use to be a couple of hispanic men cooking and they did a superb job but the Asian lady cooking these days cannot maintain the quality it use to be. This place was one of the few restaurants open on June 28th 2021 during the Heatwave. First time here for lunch, quick & polite service. Huge portions. I ordered the chicken teriyaki & garlic chicken...w/ 2 egg rolls. One came with the meal & I had ordered an additional 1 on the side. The meals come with rice & salad as well. With my ordered meal as stated above, the one dish came with an abundance of vegetables. I was able to make 3 meals out of 1 order of food. My car was getting fixed and I was hungry so I took looked at the surrounding restaurants and found this hole in the wall close by. The place is very charming. There isn't a lot of clutter and very spacious for a small restaurant. The server helped me choose my order she was very hard working, constantly cleaning and putting things away. I got the Teriyaki chicken and chicken ktsu combo with an ice water, drinks are self serve. The order came out right away. I started with salad which tasted fresh, crunchy and just the right amount of dressing. The meat is very good, not rubbery at all, tasted like real meat. They have complimentary tea and teriyaki sauce at every table. The experience was a fresh one. Although not great enough to return unless I happened to be in the area again. 4 1/2 Stars! read more

Best teriyaki in Rat City or nearby, hands down. It has been for years. I don't even think there's a better one in Burien or Highline, and the only one that even comes close is the little one in Jefferson Square.
