I ordered a dozen: 6 glazed, one old fashioned (my go-to for judging a donut shop), one vanilla-filled with chocolate, one Cinnamon Toast Crunch, one Samoa, one maple bacon, and one brownie. Every single donut had its own distinct flavor and was fabulous in its own right. The old fashioned was spot-on, and the specialty donuts were creative without being gimmicky. The donuts are a good size and they are very fresh. If you can resist eating them all at once they stay good for several days. My favorite is the chocolate iced it can make any day amazing. The environment is bright and fun and does an excellent job showcasing the many flavors. The price is reasonable and beats some of the chain donut shops. A great little gem that is hidden in a strip mall, that you may drive by everyday. On the corner of Franklin and Cox behind Chase Bank is Yummm Donuts. That extra M is not a mistake. They are Mmm good. I got the Blueberry and the Apple Fritter. One would have been enough but two is enough sugar to keep me going until lunch or a sugar crash. I finally made it to Yummm Donuts in Gastonia.  I tried the Fruity Pebble, Blueberry, and Glazed Donut......not all in one Day though. What I like about these donuts, they are light and fluffy. Even once they became 2-3 days old. I was kind of hesitant when I saw them because I don't like dry cake-like donuts. You can tell Yummm Donut took the time to let the yeast rise properly. Once I took a bite of the Fruity Pebble donut, the cereal meshed really well with the strawberry icing and dough. Perfect combination. Even trying the other Donuts, I didn't feel like I was biting into a mound of sugar. Just the right amount of sugar and spice and everything nice.... See what I did there. I heard about this place after The Gaston Gazette mentioned this new business and I couldn't wait to stop by. This is a good central location in Gastonia and plenty of parking. R arrived around noon on a Saturday and there was a huge line when we walked in. I could tell by the large amount of people inside that the donuts were going to be fantastic. I had no idea this small business donut shop was located in my area. Yummy! There was a small line that moved really quickly this morning. The menu options were clear, which made it easy to order. I'm not sure how I've never written a review for this place. This is a locally owned and operated donut shop with the fluffiest, thickest, softest donuts. My go to is definitely the maple bacon. It is so tall, but also light and pillowy. You're just gonna have to trust me on this one, it's that good. They also have donut shells that you can choose what you want inside of it. (Like a jelly donut but choosing the filling and them filling it on the spot) While they're open until 5:30, don't wait until then to go, because more than likely they will be sold out. So go early! Seriously. Especially for the coveted maple bacon. The staff has also been very friendly and helpful every time I've gone as well. read more

I'm always in search for a good donut and Yummm Donut is nearby so even better. We were received with a warm welcome when we entered the store. I told one young lady behind the counter that it was my first time there so she gave me a thorough rundown of the local faves. We selected a half dozen and the Apple fritters. I normally enjoy my donuts with a nice black decaf coffee, but there's no decaf here, only regular. I love the fact that I could choose the filing for my cream/jelly filled donuts. She actually filled them by request, that was pretty cool. We took our items to go. My first bite had me hooked. This is a solid tasty donut. It wasn't too "bready" (not a word but the best word to describe it...lol). The topping wasn't too overwhelming, they were just right. My fave was the Samoan. It's chocolate iced, topped with toasted coconut with a caramel drizzle. I can't go here too often for the sake of my waistline but I will definitely be back! read more

Back again at Yumm Donuts and another 10 star review!! This was our 2nd time visiting to make sure the 1st time wasn't a fluke. It definitely wasn't. We got to try more flavors this time since we came earlier in the day before they sold out of everything. These donuts just make you happy, they are fluffy and full of flavor. Pretty mediocre experience as most of the donuts were gone by 3 or about two hours before closing. It's a cute interior though with a little kids table in the corner. Someone had left a bottle of bubbles so my son had a blast with that. The most disappointing part of the experience was when I tried ordering a cup of coffee and one of the ladies behind the counter said it's too late in the day for them to brew a new batch. She then proceeded to explain that once they stop baking for the day, they also stop serving coffee. I think it was a front to avoid extra work to be frank. Super disappointing as it would've complemented the donuts well. Hopefully the management does a better job at training their employees to not refuse business or a paying customer. read more

They have some of the BEST Apple fritters that I have ever had. They are fresh, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfect amount of cinnamon and apple, not too sweet but lots of glaze to hit the spot. It is fun and amazing to be able to add the filling of your choice to select donuts. Our favorite is the Bavarian cream. They can even put the filling in the bar shape donuts.
