yummy burgers has become one of my go to spots for delicious casual halal food in the dfw area. i started off as a regular at their now-closed allen franchise location and now am a regular at the original. i've got to say, the experience is always excellent here. the staff and the owner are very nice and attentive, and the quality and consistency of the food is excellent. each of the menu items (gyros, ribs, shawarma, burgers, and yummies style philly cheesesteaks) that i have tried ive thoroughly enjoyed and i honestly cant recommend the spot enough. i also like that they have plenty of seating, a decent amount of parking, and have other spots like a boba spot and i believe another restaurant soon to open attached to the same building. overall: 10/10 price: 10/10 taste: 10/10 read more

We met Debbie, who went over their extensive menu with us. I had a burger and fries. Our lunch orders were prepared fresh, and the food was pretty good. You place the order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. There was plenty of seating available and the restaurant was pretty clean. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside at all and on the inside it looks similar to any other fast food joint but upon looking at their menu board, I knew this place wasn't going to be basic. There were so many delicious options to choose from starting with the charcoal grilled burgers and they also had rotisserie chicken, fajitas, beef ribs but what drew my attention was the brisket sandwich. It's served on toasted Texas toast with yellow mustard and the brisket was perfectly cooked and super juicy, my only critique would be that I wish it had just a little more brisket but otherwise it was absolutely delicious. The sweet potato fries were a great accompaniment and they were super crispy, just how I like them. The staff was friendly and efficient and I can't wait to go back and eat my way through there menu. However, this was next level delicious due to the flame grilled flavor. In fact, it's probably the best burger I've had in years. The steak fajita platter was good and we will try other things eventually but only after I go eat this burger 20 times in a row. There are different topping options so just take a second to go over the extensive menu and then enjoy deliciousness at a very reasonable price! They have a good soda fountain with Pepsi product (including ginger ale), and though I haven't tried, they have onion rings, tots, and sweet potato fries. Definitely on my list for next time! The Probelm============================================= The food is perfect, nothing I've had here was anything less than fresh, crisp, and delicious. THE PROBLEM is the service, preventing me from getting to the food at all. I live in McKinney and I don't use food delivery apps because I don't want to be tracked everywhere I go[I use GrapheneOS and a faraday bag], so I call ahead. IF, I can get through, the hispanic they hired to manage the register and phone, is always incompetent at best, and contemptuous at worst. I figure perhaps its a language barrier, so I speak to them in Spanish, and they get offended, they understand me, because they respond accurately, but the interactions simply devolves. All I want, is to put in my order, pay, pick up my order, check it[I've almost never gotten my correct order, which fortunately everything is good so that wasn't a problem], and leave. The Opinion=============================================== The cooks are perfect, they do an excellent job and hustle like they actually care about what they do, the wait staff are the complete opposite. They have a sense of entitlement that is beyond any justification, as if there wasn't a high unemployment rate, to have no shortage of replacements. If you can manage to push through the incompetence of the servers, the food is worth it. It would be amazing to not have to fight to get to the product. The Cause================================================= It used to be the case, that poor people did not have the skills to be marketable enough, to escape poverty, because they couldn't afford the resources to acquire those skills, BUT, at the very least had value in their hustle to compensate, and certainly to see and take advantage of opportunities, the more skilled but complacent competition would miss...because even though they may not be skilled, they were willing, they had self respect, and thus respect for those who might invest in them. Not the case any more, no one gives a fuck. Like petulant children, they've been given every opportunity, every lesson, and every incentive, to develop, but choose comfortable complacency instead. They've had decades of free and ubiquitous access to knowledge and programs to give them skills, previously out of reach, only to be wasted, by doubling down into vice and outright contempt for effort. Like crabs in a bucket, they cannibalize anyone around them with any shred of self respect, to rise above one's comfortable self destruction, and double down on rapacious entitlement and pathological disassociation from responsibility, if not reality all together. The top 1% don't invest in the bottom 99, not because they don't want to, but because it would because they can't, poor people have become a cancer of liability if not hazard to themselves, and anyone wo touches them. If you humans don't want to be replaced by machines, then they need to remember what makes being human valuable, a soul, the will to fucking live. Otherwise GET THE FUCK out of the way of people who do, so I can get my beef ribs, and your employer can get my money. read more

This little hole in the wall got a facelift and they've done a great job, expanding and refreshing the look. They've added a deli and a bubble tea place also. I came here because a coworker told me to try this place out and I'm so happy. I took their recommendation. I've tried their Philly cheesesteak sandwich, chopped cheese, sandwich, Gyro bowl and Boba teas - 10/10!! it was so good that now my coworkers like to go at least once a month. I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes for my food and the staff is always friendly. They keep a clean establishment and I love that all three of the Yummy brands are connected under one roof. The menu is eclectic--burgers, BBQ, middle eastern. I had the burger with BBQ sauce (#3). All burgers are charbroiled and mine was way past well done but I didn't mind. The flavor was good and the BBQ sauce had a kick.It has lots of pickles and cartelized onions so it was not overly dry. It actually was a pretty good burger and I would get it again. The onion rings appeared to be homemade and were very good. The fries were doubled fried and super crispy; they are excellent. The wife got chicken shawarma and loved it. Chicken was very flavorful and tender. The tahini, yogurt, and coleslaw made everything moist. It was very good. Prices are very reasonable. Decided to check this place out, as I've been to Dels several of times. Its also hard to miss, as they are the business right next to Del's. This also sells charcoal burgers, which is definitely direct competition to Dels. I ordered the downtown richardson burger with cheese. One thing I explicitly asked for was veggies on top, as they put their veggies on the bottom by default. Im glad I did this, as I personally don't like the motuhfeel of veggies on the bottom. The first thing that stood out to me was this burger is much bigger than anything I would get at Dels. From the taste, its probably 73/27, as it doesn't have the beefiest flavor. The buns are not super toasty, but they have enough where they didn't fall apart from the grease or weight. The bell peppers they had could have been julienned thinner. The lettuce was in huge quare chunks, which came out ok texture wise, but created a wonky leveled burger. If this burger was an ice cream, it would easliy be called rocky road. The fried onions were a true delight. It had this amazing crunch that left me awestruck. The jalapenos were fresh, yet never left me reaching for a grab of water. The moisture overall of this burger was fantastic. It never felt dry nor overly greasy. For under 7 bucks, this is pretty good deal. The way they approach burgers is different from Del's. Its hard not to compare the two when they are right next to each other, advertising similar products. Although I lean towards Del's, Yummys is a serious competitor.
