We stumbled upon this spot and thought it looked promising. It took a bit longer than expected to be seated, and the wait for the check was also on the slow side. We were really hungry and excited to dig in. I ordered the calzone, and my partner went with the tortellini bolognese. Unfortunately, both dishes fell a little flat--the sauces lacked depth and flavor, almost like they were store-bought and just reheated. It wasn't terrible, but definitely not memorable. Would I come back? Probably not.

Great local spot. We went on a Friday night - service was slow (had to ask for water twice, dirty plates not picked up) but the food was delicious. We shared an app, split a small pizza and had side salads. Specialty drink was delicious. We were seated at a two top in the bar - it was noisy, and I think why the service was slow - poor bartender had to cover everything.

Came here for the first time on a Tuesday for lunch. We saw that they had a patio which was dog friendly, and it swayed our decision to eat here. When we arrived, it was nearly 100 degrees, and they were so nice to let us eat inside and bring our dog. (very well behaved) Our waitress was beyond amazing and attentive. The food came out in a very timely manner/order as well. The ambiance was moody and the temp inside was a nice escape from the hot, hot day! The salad was plentiful! Enough for three/four people to share, and the garlic bread hit the spot. Great starter combo. I did take off half a star because of the pizza. It was good but can be so much better. It was very doughy and could have used an extra few minutes, crisping up. I guess this really depends on personal pizza preference though. Overall, 4.5 out of 5 stars!

One of our favorite places in Denver. It's a neighborhood eatery vibe. The food and service are consistently amazing. We love everything from the pizza rolls, clams linguine (filled with chunks of clams) and chicken parmesan to the seasonal specials. The drinks don't pay second fiddle to the food. The lavender bee's knees is unique & delicious. We always top our meals off with a tiramisu and freshly house brewed espresso. Also, gotta love a place that gives back to the military community with a solid discount! (Shout-out to our bartender Kim!)

Casey was a wonderful server. She sat us outside. Then the weather became inclement. She was all too happy to seat us inside so we could enjoy our meal. We had a great Mushroom and Spinach pizza. And the lemon cake was great too! All in all, a wonderful experience!

Our first time here and we really liked it. Pub type - feel so at first felt like a bar. We asked to sit in back near kitchen which was more kid friendly. Service was good, food for kids was really good, gf pizza was great and lasagna was excellent according to husband.

The vibe is neighborhood restaurant where "everybody knows your name." Seating is tight and the restaurant gets very loud when it fills up. I felt like I was borderline screaming across the small table just to be heard. Our server was helpful and on top of it. Food came out fast considering how busy they were. I had the El Diablo mule, which was well mixed and tasty. We started with artichoke hearts and they were good but a bit in the greasy side. For dinner we had the pesto primavera calzone and the Chicken Picante Pizza. The pesto calzone came with marinara sauce which seemed off because it was a pesto sauce based calzone, and it was a bit dry. The pizza was okay, the jalapeños were fresh but almost raw and needed to be cooked a little more. All in all we will likely be back and try other items!

    Hangover pizza.

As expected busy fir a Friday night, 30 min wait but no where to wait. Service was very good including explaining GF options to my daughter. 3 of us had 3 different pizzas. I was slightly undercooked, 1 was slightly over cooked. 2nd time there, not as good as the first.

Quaint, cute, decent selection, good children's section and they feature local authors. Support your local bookstores!!! They are wonderful. If you didn't know, this is a mini-food hall of sorts. There are several food vendors: a Bar at the top, a restaurant I've yet to visit alongside it, as well as several spots to eat downstairs. Downstairs they have : - A bagel spot (get there early for the best selection and don't be disappointed if they run out- that's what it means to have fresh baked daily!) - A great BBQ spot (this is coming from a KC native and BBQ critic!) - Apres coffee - a cute coffee shop with alternative milks and Italian sodas options. - A stuffed pita restaurant (I'm sorry I don't know the name!) - Gluttony and Graze, for salads and gourmet hot dogs and burgers - And don't sleep on the cute little kiosk to order Mexican food! I didn't get a chance to check it out, but it's next on my list to try! Though, please note all of these places have different operating hours - though you're mostly safe Wed-Sun. Either call ahead or be open minded when you come in, just in case! Overall, highly recommended. People sleep on it because the outside is unassuming, but you have to try it at least once!

It's been our casual and fun go-to spot for a great brunch, lunch, or dinner to enjoy time together or watch a game! We know and enjoy good food and hope it will always be around! The owners are wonderful, and the staff they hire reflect that. Beyond that, what really matters to us, at least, is great food--and Hideaway delivers every time. With the ever-growing Castle Rock food scene, we admit we've strayed from time to time depending on what we're looking for (fine dining, etc.), but we always come back to Hideaway when we want consistently good food, friendly staff, and welcoming owners. We've never had a bad meal. Unfortunately, that's hard to say about other comparable places in the area we have tried (but to each their own). Best onion rings we've tried anywhere (chicken tenders, fish tacos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, the Hideaway Signature Pasta--the list goes on), but honestly, everything on the menu we've ordered has been delicious, and every time we go, it takes us a while to decide since everything is so good! Hideaway has become something of a standard we compare to other similar establishments, and we look forward to dining here in the years to come!
