We wanted someone who would go the extra mile to get to know me and my husband for the best possible photos that day. It was also incredibly important to find someone who's editing style was timeless. I did not want to look back at our photos 10 years from now and see a "trendy" filter on our photos. Zac gave us all that and more. He is extremely personable and equally as organized. His photos speak for themselves. There is life and movement in every single moment he captures. Picking Zac to shoot our wedding was the best decision we made during wedding planning (aside from deciding to marry each other). It was one thing we didn't worry about for a minute: we made the right choice. During our engagement and wedding photos, Zac kept the conversation flowing. It took the pressure off us while we tried to smile and pose, without smiling and posing. When we received our engagement photos, it was almost like he took photos when we didn't notice: they were natural and comfortable. For our wedding, he showed up early with his assistant (delightful girl named..Allie?) and got the lay of the land. He scouted and found great areas at our venue (a high school) including the football field and some hidden nooks. The photos look like a beautiful Vogue photo shoot while completely capturing our personalities. The photo booth (The Danger Booth) provides high quality photos, so if your annoying aunts and creepy uncles want tons of family photos, direct them that way. You never know what you're going to get (hilarious photos of your sister in law's best friend with your dad's British business partner). TIP: Direct your guests to the booth: even though ours was right on the dance floor, a lot of people did not take advantage of it! Anecdote: during our wedding, our planner asked if we wanted to switch around a couple of the events to make it flow better. We declined. You know that feeling you get when you haven't seen your friend for years, but when you finally get together it just feels comfortable like no time has passed? That's exactly how we felt after about 3 minutes with Zac. He knew exactly what to say and do to keep us completely at ease in front of the camera, which is not easy for my new wife! He had us laughing and truly enjoying ourselves as if no one was there, right in the middle of Boston's busy Back Bay. The best decision we made was hiring Zac as our photographer. From start to finish he was absolutely amazing. I am recommending him to everyone I know. Here are some of the reasons why: 1) The photos are absolutely gorgeous. He has a great eye and his style is colorful, authentic, and exactly what we were looking for. I cannot stop looking through the gallery - every single photo is amazing. He captured the emotion and the joy of the day in a way that I've never seen another photographer do. For this alone, he's worth hiring. 2) He managed the day flawlessly. He kept us on schedule (and when we fell behind because my hair took too long, he made me feel like it was ok), and he managed our families so well (a difficult task). He did so with a friendly assertiveness that just made me feel like everything was handled. He was an absolute asset in that way. 3) He's super friendly and personable! Which made my husband and me and our bridal people feel super comfortable, which is so important. You can tell in the photos. 4) Communication was on point. He's really responsive and was on top of everything leading up to the day. I appreciated that so much! 5) An example of how above and beyond Zac is: when my husband and I realized we didn't know how to actually cut a slice of the cake in order to get it out as a whole piece, I shouted to Zac "help how do we do it!?" and he motioned it to us - phew!! It sticks in my head as an example of how reliable I found Zac and how comfortable we felt with him and his expertise on the day of. 6) His second shooter Ally was also amazing and she even helped the guys put on their corsages when they realized they had no idea how to do it. I cannot express in words what an amazing photographer (and person) Zac Wolf is. When my now-husband and I first got engaged, we knew we wanted Zac to be our photographer, even though it meant flying him across the country. He is one of the most fun-loving, passionate, hardworking people you will ever meet in your entire life. Our meetings were conducted over Skype and he was always available to answer any questions that we had. When we were in Boston last July, we had our engagement photos taken, and even though it stormed all day, Zac was in high spirits, parading us around the city. We ended up with some pretty fantastic shots. I haven't even seen our wedding photos yet, but I know for a fact that they will be breathtaking. Zac put in 110% on our wedding day, and really put us at ease. He and he wonderful assistant made the photo-taking experience extremely relaxing and fun; it was by far one of my favorite parts of my wedding day. I wish I could see the world the way Zac does because he was able to pick out incredible photo spots all over the city that most people would never think of. During the ceremony and reception he was all business, and was able to stage great shots with a very large family after the ceremony. One of the things that I appreciated most about Zac was that he was in the moment the entire time. He was not afraid to get on the dance floor, crawl on the ground, and or race all over the venue to get the best shots. Randomly, one afternoon, I decided to plan a last minute birthday party for our miniature long haired dachshund and his friend, a king charles cavalier. Both turned one year old in July and hey, why not have a birthday pawty? I went out on a limb and asked Zac to photograph...I followed him on Instagram (in a non-creepy way) and we actually used The Danger Booth for our wedding this past May, so I thought he'd have the right kind of cool/quirky personality for it. BOY I WAS RIGHT. Zac is awesome. Also, he lovesssss dogs! It just made my day. I wish I could have a dog birthday party every week just so we could run around with the pups and their friends in the park, take pictures of them and hang out. It's practically impossible to sum up Zac's talent, professionalism and personality in a short Yelp review, but here goes. Hiring Zac is the single best decision we made in planning our wedding. We prioritized our photography as amazing photos were very important to us, and he blew us away. Our engagement shoot was incredible - we got to know Zac a little better, and he made us instantly comfortable when we are normally awkward in front of a camera. Our wedding photos had me in actual tears. They are indescribably beautiful - the colors, the lighting, the composition, everything. He captured moments that we did not even see at the wedding, and so many that we were able to re-live. His photos truly tell a story - I got very emotional looking back at the getting ready photos in sequence, leading up to the ceremony. Several of our friends and family said the shots of our first look had them in tears (this was obviously a private moment with just my husband and I, so none of them actually witnessed it). The photographs have to be pretty incredible to do that! Aside from his ridiculous talent which is evident in his work, Zac is a truly great, genuine person. He is very straight-forward and knows what works for his business, and he makes it very easy to trust him. His organization is impeccable - he keeps everything on schedule and keeps everyone calm. It's like having another wedding planner. He legit carried around Kind bars for me during our photos to make sure I ate and hand fed me so I wouldn't get anything on my hands or gown. During the actual portraits, he is quick and efficient and knows how to get all of the right shots - but also keeps things so fun. I swear, half of our formals are my husband and I laughing because Zac is hysterical and actually wanted us to have FUN with the shoot. When my sister wanted to do family photos with her husband and daughter, I gave her a family portrait session with Zac for Christmas. They had so much fun with him during the shoot. The photos came out so great that I couldn't wait to take some with my daughter. I wasn't sure how it would go with my 3-year-old daughter, since she tends to be shy and doesn't like taking pictures.
