Now to the food! It was delicious, really authentic proper Lebanese food that was on par with my mums cooking. Bread kept running out though. Bread is cutlery for Lebanese food and every time I had to try super hard to flag down someone. BUT the only food item I didn't like was the dessert baklava. Now I know my Leb sweets and this was horrible. I also know that Lebanese are not stingy with coffee and sweets. These people were. Never have I been to a Lebanese restaurant or any middle eastern place that pours the coffee out on the traditional tiny cups then takes the coffee away.. WhaaAat! That's a massive no no. My personal favourites were the hummus and tabouli, balila, spinach triangles (with spinach from Eddie's own garden) and the stuffed vine leaves (which I don't usually enjoy but these were so good)! Our host for the evening Eddie (yes, THE Eddie) was humble, attentive, and had such a passion for homestyle cooking.
