I like that when they aerate, they will come back after a few weeks to see if there are areas that did not quite take, and they will reseed those. There so many thoughtful touches, a pathway for my dads wheelchair, mulch barriers from my neighbors wild flowers, storage for our kayaks. The transformation was huge, it's like a whole new house. Gairy was incredibly kind, easy to work with, and very responsive throughout the process. Pricing was also very reasonable for the amount of work completed. We're extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend them.

Third job: (Last fall) paid for manual pulling/removal of Bermuda grass from garden beds, plus weed control and mulch. Emphasis on manual removal - explicitly was told they would pull all the Bermuda out manually to get all the roots out. Took a bit of chasing around to get them to actually get it on the books, and then when they did come they just buzzed everything with a string trimmed and sprayed weed killer over that. We agreed to still pay the full price on the condition that Gairy would send a team out in the spring once the Bermuda woke up and inevitably came through the mulch since it wasn't removed. He agreed, and we left it at that. Flash forward to this year and has completely ghosted us and been non-responsive. Even tried asking about having a bunch of other services added so that it wouldn't be a totally free trip, but still No luck. We finally gave up on any hope of getting the promised services, hired Mr. Outdoor Living, dropped like $4K on services with them instead and will be sticking with them next year when we do a sprinkler system and stone retaining walls.

Dan came out to give us an estimate on 9/7 and stated he could come and do the work at noon on 9/9…read more At the designated time, he called and said another job was taking longer than he expected and he may not be able to come out until 9/10. This was understandable and we agreed. He and his coworker came out on 9/10 and did most of the work. My husband paid in cash as requested and Dan agreed to come back out on 9/13 to help move all of the debris to the curb for trash pick up. When I looked at the trees, I noted there were several large branches still within reach of hitting the power lines, which was the reason we wanted the trees trimmed in the first place. My husband called Dan and said we needed the rest of the branches finished. Dan said he'd finish them when he came back on 9/13. It's now 9/18 and Dan did not come back, nor has he returned any of our texts or voice mails. Now we will have to pay someone to finish the job, and my husband has spent hours chopping up the debris and hauling it to the curb for pick up on trash day. I had a bad feeling when Dan wanted to be paid in cash instead of check (what business doesn't accept checks?), but I thought sometimes people have circumstances and I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately it seems he doesn't keep his word. I gave two stars because the work he did do was good.
