I am one, if not the first of, Richard Zaldivar's clients. I first met Richard when he worked for another firm at the start of his career. I was impressed with his knowledge from the very beginning. When he started his own firm, I chose to leave the original firm and follow him. I am probably one of the few clients who knows him well. First let me say, Richard is a BRILLIANT attorney. I cannot stress this enough. I've been with him for nearly 20 years and I know his skills WELL. You might ask yourself, "why 20 years... why so long?" To put it simply... I choose treatment over settlement. Richard always valued my opinion and allowed me to make my own decisions. He treated me like an attorney and we maintained a mutual respect over all the years. Now, don't get me wrong... there was a bump or two over that long period, however, we always managed to reach a meeting of the minds and mutual understanding. I watched as his practice grew into the mega firm it is today. Though I was very happy for his success as his firm grew, I missed the prior ease I had at reaching him via phone. In the early days I could get a hold of him with no problem. However, as his practice grew and grew, I had to make a phone appointment. Though this use to irk me, I put up with it as I knew the man is friggin' smart as hell. To Richard's credit however, he made a way for me to reach him if I needed him right away. I never abused this privilege and was grateful for the added form of communication. Richard truly KNOWS HIS STUFF! There is no workers compensation attorney out there who is smarter. Trust me on this one.... I met with several others in Miami-Dade and Broward and was NOT impressed. My advice to a new or potential client... Be honest with Richard so he can do his job effectively for you. Listen to his advice and if necessary, give him your thoughts. I have seen attorneys come and go from his firm (this happens all the time with large law firms as attorneys leave and start their own practice) however, there has been a constant attorney named Albert Marroquin. He is very smart as well and I see why Richard still has him around. Richard truly is a magnificent attorney and brilliant at mediations. If you have any issues with his staff, just let him know. You won't go wrong in retaining Richard Zaldivar as your lawyer. read more

That's weird they have like four bad reviews on google... Very rude staff, including the old lady at the front that works as the receptionist. They don't inform you of the progress of your case or fine details. If you ask any specific questions or question their process they become irate & defensive. I just had one of their employees hang up on me just because I wanted to know if my checks were physically there. I called back & his family member JOSE ZALDIVAR laughed at me, insulted me, & screamed at me. He even begged me to tell Richard Zaldivar at our next appointment about him as if nothing can happen to him. Absolutely atrocious behavior & extremely unprofessional. The customer service representatives who answer calls daily at this firm are very disrespectful and rude. They put you on long holds and never return to the phone. They don't allow you to provide the reason for your call or try to take a message their response was always "call back." They yell over the phone and are very unprofessional individuals. After long weeks of back and forth and mishaps with not only my paperwork but my check my settlement was reached. Although my claim was settled I would never recommend anyone to use this firm for service. My experience was horrible and I wish I would've chose another firm for services. I know better now and will never use this firm. Respect is due to everyone no matter your race, gender etc. The only reason I chose a star was because I had to but just know my rate is no stars. read more

I would recommend this law firm to any friends or family with a workers comp issue. Mr. Zaldivar treated my mother very well during her situation. He was patient and thorough in explaining everything about her claim and benefits to us. A huge bonus was that most of the staff was bilingual, which was awesome. read more
