Kerrie begins by understanding the family and the dogs. She then develops a training program that is uses positive reinforcement. It is very effective and demonstrates the respect she has for the dogs. She not only works directly with the dogs, she also works with and coaches the owners. You receive valuable weekly summaries of the training and also other great tips and information to help you be a better dog owner. Our puppies responded quickly and have learned many new skills and behaviors that help them be well mannered members of our home. You could tell our puppies loved working with Kerrie and we did too. Kerrie and Crimson Hound are highly recommended.

I take a holistic approach to dog training. Strengthening the human-dog relationship and teaching life skills is the main focus of training sessions. Obedience is not our main focus. My approach looks at the unique individual sitting in front of us. A one-size-fits-all or quick-fix methodology has no place in dog training. My training plans include realistic goal setting, management protocols and enrichment. We teach new behaviors as needed. Every plan is customized to address client goals and dog needs. My training philosophy is grounded in rewards-based methods and I do not prescribe to methods or tools that rely upon pain, force, coercion and punishment. I focus on understanding why the dog is doing what he is doing and meeting the needs that are at the root of the issue. My clients come away from sessions with a new understanding and a stronger bond with their dog(s).

They seemed unwilling to acknowledge their scope of practice could be enhanced. Disappointing vet visit and worse customer service. We took our new rescue dog here because it's closer to home than our previous vet. When we first called to get an appointment, no one answered in the middle of the week in the middle of the day. I left a message, but got no answer. I called again and we got an appointment set up. When we arrived, the service was very friendly. For a new client appointment, it wasn't very thorough. Dr. Buley did not examine our dogs teeth, paws, rear, or ears, and did not request a stool sample. Our dog moved away as the vet touched her, and she didn't try to examine her more. We left dissatisfied, having paid $150 for a vet to have baby talk with our dog. We then took our dog to another vet, which diagnosed her with two types of parasites, which were successfully treated. I called back here to try to get a refund, because the vet visit was not cheap, and to let them know that their exam was not up to par so others wouldn't have the same experience. Again, I had to leave a message and call back later. After speaking with the front desk people, they said that they would talk with the owner about issuing a refund, which I understood. A week or so goes by, and no call or email from the owner about a refund or discussion about the appointment. I call again, and have to leave a message. When they did call back, they did not acknowledge that the exam should have been more thorough, nor did they seem interested in our concerns about the visit. Very disappointed!!!
