I went with high hopes of this club. Upon entering, the folks and women were nice and sweet. It was easy to say No to the girls, but after spending $1000 US in cash, once it approached 1:30 am, I had girls telling me to fuck off (actual words) when I asked for a lap dance and waved $100 C in cash. I am a connoisseur of strip joints and truth be told: this place has history and the VIP rooms are absolutely sick!!! When you go in there, be sure to get a drink, wait for some gal to talk to you and determine if she is the one to have a good time with. I know that a good one talks to you for some time and when you know she is good with you then you pay the $20 for the VIP room (unlimited use I might add and came in handy once upon a time....) tip: before you go to the VIP room, pay the cash and say "I'm going upstairs" so that way the doorman does not chase you up the stairs. The lighting of the VIP room is sick and also the dancers are really classy. Make sure you are a real gentleman and give them props (they so love it when you say things and mean it). Overall I never had a bad experience and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent strip joint for an hour or so. PS The ATMs alone are 10% of what you withdraw. Do yourself a favour and withdraw the cash from a nearby ATM from your branch location: it saves you the rip off of the stand alone ATM. read more

I've heard mixed reviews from this place and in comparison to Brass Rail just down the street, I wanted to see for myself how it measures up on a busy Friday night. I actually prefer this spot over Brass Rail. Brass Rail seems way too crowded and the girls are extremely pushy. I get that they are there to make money and don't care to talk but I'm there to hang out and it would be cool to not feel pressured to go for a dance. At Zanzibar it promotes a much more laid back atmosphere and even though it gets busy and fills up tight, the girls still try to sit down and interact with you. There's not as much pressure here to go to the VIP, I still went because I wanted to not because a girl was begging me to. Speaking of the girls at Zanzibar, there's a select few that are absolutely stunning and were very enjoyable to watch on stage. If I remember names correctly I believe Tonya, Sophie, Arianna and Katana were just gorgeous to watch. The girls were very cool and really chill. Drinks are expensive and there is a cover for the VIP but I wouldn't expect any less from a strip club. Got there late and the place was still crowded. Cool layout and nice decor. Lots of hot (and heavily modified) bodies with mediocre faces. Came with my gf who LOVES a good strip club and within 20 minutes she was bored and ready to leave. The girls on stage barely danced and looked like they'd rather be anywhere but there. The other girls just made their rounds looking for easy scores in the private dance area. Maybe we caught it on an off night but it was a Friday and we expected a lot more. Portland, LA, Chicago, Vegas, etc. all have WAY better clubs for less. Maybe we'll try again on our next trip to Toronto. read more

Zanzibar is owned by a Jewish guy. In the 80's he brought over a group of Thai girls to exploit. They had to work 14 hr days doing table dances. The price was $10/song, the bar would keep $8 and the girl got $2. If they wanted to leave the club they'd have to ask several times until they caught him on a good day, and he wold allow them to go out. Bad bad bad! Some of the girls are still there. Worst place ever, they trick you into spending money you don't have for a half hour--- $300, between me and my buddies we spent over $2000. The Zanzibar is garbage. One girl had a nice gut on her. For for shots it cost 70$ they make up their prices as they go. Definitely don't go here unless you feel like getting tricked into spending hundreds of dollars you don't have!! As a first timer got a very unfriendly response from the Ugly Waiterss But the show was amazing, on a suitable lighted stage with good sound system, every dancer was in full sprit all time , Girls asking table 2 table for VIP Dance Session in friendly manner (Good Marketing Skills by Showing stuff they have and giveing heat to inspire u). I went Upstairs for Lap Dance 20$ for Cover + 20$ for 4 Min Lap Dance. Dance was amazing Expensive tough Maryan was great in many manner, perfect figure, soft skin, poky nipply, clean pink clit which she rubs on lap after putting clean cloth very deeply she allowed to touch, kiss and rub all time during dance , its very hard to say no to continue dance for the next song and giving 20$ more for that Overall it was the amazing experience but its good to spend if you have a million$ jackpot in hand read more

3 of us Americans wound up here after drinking across the street at the Warehouse. Had a great time there, not so much at Zanzibar. We were pretty drunk and missed the fact that it was a strip club. As soon as we entered, 4 strippers swarmed us and got us to go downstairs to the VIP. $20 cover and $19 for a beer was only just the start of the disaster which followed. The lap dance was good and the strippers were actually quite attractive, but once we decided we had enough and wanted to leave they pulled out bs numbers for what we owed them. We gave them the $300 we had collectively in cash then they tried to say we still owed $2000. One stripper said she was going to break my fingers than knock me out, then another one threw out a bunch of insults about us being American. So much for Canadian hospitality. Do yourself and your wallet a gigantic favor and stay as far away from this shithole as possible. The girls are below average dancers. I can go to my local strip club in the middle of nowhere and the girls have more talent. The Zanzibar girls didn't even use the poles that often! You have to buy an overpriced drink to be allowed to stay in, and finding a dance is difficult and everything seems unorganized. Once you finally start talking to a girl about a dance (not a dancer you pick, just a dancer that happens to catch your eye or be near you at the time) they try everything they can to trick you into spending more money. The signs say $20 for a lap dance, but you have to pay a $20 cover on top of that just to get to the VIP area where they perform the lap dances. I never actually bought a dance because all 4 of the girls that I showed interest in were rude or tried to scam money from me. One of the ugliest dancers there even told me she wouldn't settle for less than a $100 dance (which would only be like 15 minutes long) and then when I declined her offer she went and talked to another dancer and clearly said some nasty things about my friends and I. Honestly a very shady and non responsible establishment. I had a dance with one of the employees while my friend had one with another. After 2 dances, he sat up to leave and the 2nd dancer lies to my face and tells me he's coming back. I ended up paying for additional dances from the 2nd dancer when I didn't even ask for one. I asked to speak with the manager and he was useless. He brought the 2nd dancer up and she would harass me by telling him that I was lying and wasting her time while she continued to verbally insult me. I understand that they make a living off of this but it's another when you're trying to hustle off someone else. The manager did not want to negotiate, his skull was too thick to understand what I was trying to say. I had 2 drinks, not even close to being drunk and was scammed over $200. If you are entering this shady establishment, I hope you're either rich or don't care about being hustled. TLDR: This establishment is an unreliable, shady, and unworthy business. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I went this past Friday while in Toronto for business. Within minutes of sitting down, 2 Russian dancers (a blond and a brunette) sat down beside me and talked me into a private dance. 1 dance turned into a few, at which point I suggested we return to the bar. Well, they keep dancing, suggesting we'd have more fun in the private area. After another 3 songs, I again suggest we head back downstairs for a drink. "No honey...we can stay up here for drinks. No dancing, just drinks and talking...no extra charge." So I agree. We have a round, chat for about 20 minutes before they suggest more dances. I decline and say it's time to head back downstairs. "How much do I owe?" I ask. "$300, plus tip.", they say, "And big tip, please...be good to us". This was a bit more than I expected. $20/song x 2 girls x 6 songs = $240. I don't challenge it, because it's not worth the hassle. So I hit the ATM and give the $300 to one of them. She frowns and says "No no honey, is not enough...is $300 for each of us." Well, now I am challenging it, obviously, but she tries to tell me that they gave me 15 dances. I vehemently dispute this but they insist. Looking at the large bouncers standing near the door, I realize I'm not going to be allowed to leave until the extortion has been paid out, I reluctantly take out another $300 and leave. So needless to say I will never return and this review comes with my strongest recommendation to STAY AWAY! Or, at the very least, avoid the blonde and brunette Russian dancers there. read more

The girls bug you a little too much to dance because if you have yor eye on one girl another might be too aggressive for a dance and if you have a hard time saying no you might lose out. I very much enjoyed this establishment. I am an American vet celebrating his service contracted being terminated and I chose to go here. The first girl that danced for me seemed distant and honestly high on drugs. The second girl Jersey (Not her real name obviously). Was great. She was attentive, honest and kind to me. She made me feel good and that's all that mattered to me as I gave her my money. She was beautiful and funny. I would recommend this place for a late night stroll. I just came back from the zanzibar with my friends a couple of hours ago. The first time I went it was ok even though 1 stripper ripped $40 in total off my friend and I and she didn't even do a song for us. She just wanted 2 $20s from us for no reason. So I went back tonight for a friends birthday and boy it was an awful experience. First of all when my stripper came to my table she forced me to go to the champagne room which is an extra $20 I said NO like 5 time I do not want a dance but she forced me to the point where I had to have a dance. When I got down to the champagne room I asked her if we can start next song as it was the middle of a song she said no and started charging me from there. At the end she charged me $100 dollars but it was only for 3 songs should have been at most $60. Really $40 has it was two full songs and its $20 per song. Plus asked for a huge tip so I had to pull out another $20 where we split it for two $10. $10 for me $10 for her. I was not allowed to leave the champagne room until I had to help pay my friend the rest for his dance which really was not my problem he did not have enough money. Then when we were walking out and the head security guy came out and stopped my friends and I. He pulled me and one of my friends in front of the main entrance and told me that I had to pay for my friend a lot of money for what he owed them last time. I told the security guy why should I pay for my friend I was not with him last time. He said if I do not he would call the cops on my friends and I so I was forced to pay $140 for my friend so we wouldn't have gotten arrested for no reason. At the end of the day. I am never going back to the Zanzibar ever again. read more

well i walked in and had a few drinks and a couple girls talked to me me and i bought them a couple drinks too. next thing i know im back in my hotel room. i wasn't even at the bar for 2 hours and i don't remember anything. I can handle my alcohol very well but I was obviously given something in my drink. My buddy came to meet me and he was an hour late and by that time they told him I had left. Now lets forward a couple days forward and i see 7 thousand dollars on my credit card. they were all done at separate times (probably not to raise any flags) and now there's nobody at the club who can explain this to me. I do not recommend this place. Went to this place for a girlfriend's birthday with a bunch of people. It was a busy night in there (assuming weekends are always busy) and most of the tables around the stage were taken. Our group took a seat near the back of the club and as soon as we sat down we were approached by a waitress who seemed to be rather impatient and rude. I was aware that you have to purchase drinks in order to stay in the club but the attitude coming from that one waitress just threw me off, people probably spend tons of money there just on drinks themselves so for her to have that kind of attitude just surprised me. I guess the management encourages the servers to nag customers the money for the drinks in case they end up leaving without paying. To be honest, the girl dancing on stage looked mediocre and there was nothing "special" other than the fact she was dancing against a pole. Apparently, you have to be cautious with the lap dances because they over charge people without even telling them. Overall, it was an okay strip club I wouldn't return. read more

Arrived tonight at about 12:30 after spending 3 hours at the Brass Rail. We were rudely met by a doorman before we even entered the main doors telling us that we would not be allowed in. He then asked us if we had been drinking and we said we had, we just left The Brass Rail. After standing outside for about 5 minutes I went in to see why we couldn't get in. A different doorman was shocked that we wouldn't be allowed in. The big doorman was stuttering trying to come up with an answer, he could only say they've had to much to drink. As we were leaving other guests were commenting on just go back to Brass Rail they treat you a lot better. Outside there were dancers that were also shocked that we were not allowed in. They obviously don't care but we will never go back to Zanzibar, Brass Rail all the way. By the way we are all 35 -45 year old guys that never cause a problem, just like to have fun. read more
