I hate to be this way, but I think after having several issues it's time make a review that's not positive. For the last year or so, the quality and service has declined to the point that I'm here having to complain about it. The teens currently working seem to only be worried about socializing and not with checking and making sure a decent product is going out. Not that the teens are solely to blame, but a lack oversight by management. Today, I got the Zensation Zalad which has been a staple for years and go to for a pretty good meal when I'm in a hurry. Today though, trash. The cold slaw in the salad was bordering on frozen and yet had a slimy texture that I've not experienced before. It was so off putting that I had no desire to finish it. The point of my review is not to bash Zaxby's, because for the longest time it's been consistently great, but to point out the changes that have obviously taken place and be a cause for change. As franchises go, this Zaxby's is pretty standard. Dined in this week and female working the front was quickly available and friendly. Ordered the Nibblerz sandwiches and the standard three strips meal. The food was ready quickly and was good. Food was hot and seasoned as expected for a franchise. The facility was fairly clean for lunch time. Restrooms could use a little more attention. read more

First time trying Zaxby's. It was close to the hotel and we were looking for some lunch. B remembers his granny's bringing him here when he was younger and would visit Portland, TN during the summers. Franklin, KY isn't far from there. I was excited to try something that was nostalgic for B. Upon entering, I immediately noticed how clean and spacious Zaxby's was. Everything was neatly organized and the restrooms were super clean. The cashier was friendly and quick. Our order was ready in no time, it all came out nice and hot. Their sweet tea is on point! We enjoyed our meal and I really appreciate that the chicken wasn't overly salty or greasy. Napkins, drinks, etc. are within reach. The ambiance is laid back. "Zaxby's chicken fingers are famous for a reason". They run off your plate before you can get home. Ordered two 5 piece chicken plates and an Asian salad. Got home, only received 4 on each plate. The salad only had 7 small pieces of breaded chicken. I don't know if it's this location or every Zaxby's but the service is terrible and the order is never correct. Called and spoke to Jessica. She logged my complaint in to the mistake log book. She told me the next time I stopped in, I would get the other 2 pieces of chicken. Seriously? Zaxby's can't even give me a complimentary meal? Went last night to get a few meals for my family and I used curbside for the first time. Wound up being my fault that I sat there so long without getting my food because the sign says that you need to call to tell them. how is it that your team has not implemented location services in a sophisticated way to know when someone shows up in the parking lot for their order? Why don't you have an option on the app to dictate that you have arrived and what spot you're in? I have an email confirmation where there is a button to click on that says I'm here but why on earth isn't that implemented in the app? Me calling: ... To that manager on duty, it's more so about the fact that someone is calling trying to get something for free. "Do you think I'm going to give you a whole other meal just because of two tenders?" they may have a district manager who is on them about food cost and giving too much food away for free because they are not more consistent. That literally has nothing to do with me if that is the case. Do better than you have been doing. If a customer calls you because the order isn't exactly what they ordered especially for the money they paid then just make it right because that goes a whole lot further than you trying to make up for what they were missing by only giving them what they were missing. go above and beyond as a leader, and use experiences like these to grow and improve rather than at like "look what you were doing to me!" I think I have now officially tried all chain chicken restaurants and this one has my vote for the best. Chicken strips were consistent at both locations we tried. The spicy mushrooms were amazing, even after getting soggy which blew my mind. Chicken is juicy at all times. Super fast service as well. Wings are not worth trying, just average. We stopped in on our way back to Louisville from Atlanta. My first time ever at a Zaxby's. It was decent. I got the Zaxby's Club, but probably should have just gotten wings. The decor inside is much more "casual sit down restaurant" than I expected from a fast food-esque, drive thru and counter service only kind of place. We stopped by the Zaxby's on Nashville Road in Franklin, KY recently after a long day at the race track. We were hungry and also thirsty for a glass or two of their Southern iced tea. We came in thinking one of their fresh salads with chicken tenders would be our choice but we switched mid-stream to a chicken tender platter with coleslaw and french fries. The staff was friendly and they quickly took our order. We headed toward the iced tea. It had been a hot, hot day at the track and the iced tea was so refreshing. Our ticket was called quickly and we settled in with those yummy chicken tenders. Zaxby's chicken tenders are consistently the same. They arrived hot and crispy. Zaxby's has several sauces for dipping. All taste delicious to me. The fries were good but the coleslaw was really out of this world. If you aren't a coleslaw person you won't understand but if you love good coleslaw you know what I am talking about. The restaurant was comfortable and very cool which was just what we needed. Zaxby's was a quick spot to stop in for a filling meal before we got on the road to go back home. We would stop at this location again. read more

When driving home from Indiana to Georgia, this is the first Zaxby's I come across. It is at Exit 2 off of I-65. The folks are always friendly, the restaurant is nice and clean. The food is always hot and fresh. I love Zaxby's chicken tenders. Their Zaxby's sauce is very good too! This was the worst food I had on a recent trip, and indeed the WORST chicken sandwich I've ever encountered. I'd not dare serve this to guests. Got the grilled chicken sandwich because I don't eat fried food. It was very thick and slightly tough with no grill char marks and completely flavorless aside from being smothered with watery honey mustard sauce. The only non-fried sides I could get were an extra piece of toast or slaw. So I got no side. Husband had the salad which he couldn't eat because of the lack of flavor. What is wrong with this place? Managers are extremely unprofessional, and the workers cannot get a order right to save their lives. The entire back of the store also seems to have on no hair nets. I've found hair in my food on multiple occasions, twice or maybe three times that I can remember. My last is final complaint, when I ask for wings dipped in sweet and spicy, why do they come out with a thin layer of glaze on them? It's called dipped for a reason. read more

CHECK YOUR SALAD THOROUGHLY BEFORE CONSUMING!!!! I was halfway thru my salad, when I noticed something that looked like piece of white lettuce. To my horror and disgust, and the disgust of my friend with me, who had just finished her Zaxby's sandwich, I found not a piece of white lettuce, but the whole finger of a glove! We were on I-65 when we decided to stop for a late lunch yesterday. It was around 2:00. It wasn't busy and there were about 7 or 8 people eating when we arrived. A friendly girl took our order. We ordered a 4-piece dinner and a 5 piece dinner, 2 drinks and buffalo dip and chips. We were going to eat it on the road as we were trying to be somewhere. The order came up in a timely manner. The drinks are really good because they have the machine that has a multitude of drinks available. Then my husband came to the car. We decided to eat in the parking lot so we wouldn't spill any of it. Kinda stupid huh? We should have just eaten inside, hind-sight is 20-20. My husband asked for a fork, but there wasn't one in the bag. The chicken was delicious, the fries were hot and crispy. However, they did forget the buffalo dip. My husband went back inside to get the dip. They sent him back chopped up fried chicken with no sauce mixed in the dip-nothing. There were not any chips with the supposedly dip either. We were in somewhat of a hurry, so wet didn't go back inside to have it corrected. I give the rating a 3 star. read more
