Zeezout is one of the most seafood focused restaurants I have ever visited. The whole menu is seafood only except for the dessert options. As with most Michelin Star restaurants, a tasting menu was offered, and I selected the Six Course option. To start a mini-tuna dish (which I don't think was included as part of the six courses) was served. The tuna was fresh with a sweet cucumber sauce, crisp radish, cool wasabi ice cream and a crisp seafood cracker. Next was the Shrimp Cocktail which was my favorite dish of the evening. Tender meaty mini-shrimps filled a small goblet with crunchy crouton bits topped with a creamy whiskey mayonnaise and paired with a soft airy brioche. The next few dishes was a trio of fresh fish. First was the Salmon which was meaty and flakey and surrounded by a light airy foam and tender asparagus. Next was the Monkfish which was meaty and paired with tender endive and a creamy hollandaise sauce. Finally, the Seabass was flakey with crisp skin and sat on a tender sweet sliced beet. Next came the Cheese Platter which featured a variety of high-quality European cheese with different flavor profiles and textures. Finally for dessert, a Chocolate Cake was served. Rich chocolate was paired with orange cream, gummies and vanilla ice cream. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed each of the dishes and had a nice experience. However, it took almost 4 hours to get through the meal. We have been to many restaurants featuring tasting menus which take close to 4 hours. However, this experience tended to drag at times when dishes were spaced in about 1/2 hour intervals. Keep that in mind when booking. read more
