I write this in English, since my German would fail to give this fine restaurant justice. I spent a week at Hopfgarten recently, and had two fabulous meals at Zeitlos.
Before you even sit down to eat you notice immediately the craftsmanship in the surroundings. Having used a clever blend of existing centuries old construction and ultra modern chic (note the gender designations at the bathrooms), owner Monika has created an unforgettable ambiance before a single bit of food is consumed.
And the food! Delectable. I had on one occasion the balsamic chicken and on the other, a wonderfully prepared steak and baked potato. Both were excellent.
The personality of the owner is vital to the success of small, chic beautiques such as this. In this respect, Monika shines in that she regularly sits and chats with guests as time allows, liberally provides drinks "on the house" and creates a real atmosphere of "gemuetlichkeit" hard to equal.
