This little restaurant is across the street from the church and we lucked out choosing this place! There is both inside and outside seating. We sat outside and watched the servers really move as quickly as they could. The male server came to our table and spoke English well. We ordered the fried chicken and the pork cutlet. Both came with either "american potatoes" or fries. Everything we had was delicious! The place was very cheap and the food is delicious. I am so glad that we found a great place in such a touristy little spot. Definitely try this place!

The interior has charming vaulted red brick ceilings, a sort of indie vibe from posters announcing local events, and a great soundtrack of retro mostly rock music. The large outside patio is pleasant and very welcome for folks wanting fresh air. The Hostinec has a good selection of Czech beers on tap. They also prepare classic Czech pub fare such as nakládaný hermelín (a camembert-style Czech cheese that's marinated and served with bread), utopenci (pickled sausages), and the somewhat controversial beer cheese (reportedly similar to Limburger; I rarely see it on Czech pub menus any more). I had the tatarák, a traditional Czech take on beef tartare, served with topinky (fried toast) and garlic. I had not had tatarák in years and this did not disappoint. I wish I hadn't had a late lunch or I would have tried some of the regular food as well. Everything about the Hostinec was great and I look forward to visiting again when next in Hradec Králové.

There were three or four restaurants within walking distance. The structure was quite attractive as it sported a homey appearance. The interior was also quite nice as there were three levels. I was on the top level and was quite satisfied with where I was situated. I was very happy with my room as it was spacious and clean. The decor showed off the original architecture and the expert restoration of the structure. The work area was well configured and the WiFi worked decently during my stay. The bathroom was sufficiently roomy allowing plenty of room to maneuver. The bed was comfortable and the environs were quiet allowing me to get good sleep during my stay. The morning breakfast was intimate as it was served in a small dining area on the ground level. It was a homespun breakfast experience and was akin to enjoying a meal at my own kitchen table. The food was prepared to my liking and provided a good start to my day. The room rate was fabulous for the quality of my experience. My final cost was CZK1260 per night. This was roughly $52.40 USD with the exchange rate at the time. This is a deal that is rarely seen for the product delivered. I have no qualms recommending a stay here if you have the opportunity to visit this town.

The staff will sit you down with a smile, the spaces are clean and appealing. BUT! If you do not order fast enough, the smile of the waiters turns into a spasm to make the order quicker. But what I considered very rude was the fact, the waitress placed the reservation card on our table before we finished our meals. Without saying a word.
