Saw the reviews about these guys, so went in (a bit sheepish) and explained my problem. 5 minutes later I walked out with a functioning watch, with the back reattached and me educated as to how to set my watch minutes. Total cost: £0.00! Yep, no charge. I have a few decent watches that will now be getting their servicing done here. Great customer service.

Took my Ebel Brasilia watch worth almost £2000 to GW Blower to see if they could sell it for me…read more They priced it for sale at £1800. It was pristine and came boxed with original paperwork and Ebel proof of purchase and authenticity card stamped by the jeweller I purchased it from. The watch showed no sign of selling so I asked for the watch to be returned to me. After I paid their fee they sent the watch in a simple glasses-like case. I queried where the box was. They eventually sent a box but it was the outer box only and the paperwork was not there. After several weeks of trying to get an answer, the owner advised he had lost the proper box and paperwork and could do nothing about it and this would not affect the resale value in any way . My own local jeweller said the lack of card would make a substantial difference to the resale cost so I should pursue Blower for the difference. The trading standards advised similarly. Given I had noted Blower mishandled another customers goods and didn't pay damages despite a CCJ, I opted not to waste even more money because Blower was not likely to pay. The last time I called the shop he just hung up on me when I mentioned I needed the card back. I would not trust this seller at all.
