Horrendous. My daughter was promised her $350 designer hat to be returned to her that she left at the studio and when she returned to get it - she was told it was missing. She has emails and documentation from this Studio owner Amity promising her it was in a special place waiting for her. Hmmm nice way to practice NOT what you preach - what kind of business would do this?? I am a yoga/meditation instructor and sound healer from the US. I decided on the studio because it was the closest to my hotel, hotel pantheon. I found the staff to be exceptionally friendly, the teacher to be impeccable in both her knowledge and skill. Class Was taught in both English and Sanskrit, close attention given to both intention and meaning. The chanting was beautiful with an elaborate explanation as to its meaning. Just beautiful! Amity is an incredible yogi and I've gotten the chance to really challenge myself and advance my beginner's practice to something more. Also done classes with other instructors and they were fabulous as well. Exquisite studio with exceptional teaching staff. English and or Italian classes as one might wish. Even when Italian classes were scheduled the teachers insure they drizzle the instructions with enough English so as to actually turn it into a class in the Italian language. Lovely space and cleanest studio I have seen. Nice mix of styles to keep you interested. Highly recommend this studio to anyone living in or visiting Rome. I'll be back. read more

Lovely class. Instruction was in English and the teacher Laura was superb. My class had an assistant who was attentive and helpful. Music was great. Great studio near Piazza Navona. Excellent teachers, wonderful community, both heated and non-heated vinyasa and hatha. Good drop in prices for visitors, and super clean. it's upstairs so you have to enter thru the large carriage entryway off Corso Vittorio Emanuele then go up the stairs one flight. Nice coffee and pizza joints nearby for after the class. This is my Rome studio whenever I visit, and I walk 20 minutes each way for class....well-worth it. read more

After having done extensive yoga research in Rome for few months, I defenitely consider Zem being the best yoga studio in town. It's located in the most important and elegant area of the historical center. You'll find yourself in a very beautiful space to practice in, filled with a wonderful energy and light. The atmosphere at Zem is so warmful you really feel at home, ....often even better than home!!! The vinyasa, hata, yin and yoga dance experienced teachers are excellent: professional and very kind, but most of all they always extraordinarily succeed in making you feel much much better than when you came in!!! At Zem you'll also find the perfect variety of classes types (from slower to more intense) able to suit your energy level on that specific day.
