I had my first lymphatic drainage today, and it was nice and really relaxing. I enjoyed feeling the gentle, consistent pressure on all my limbs, stomach, everywhere. If you'd like, you can wear your bra and underwear or go nude if you prefer. I appreciated that it wasn't painful or uncomfortable at all because that's what I was concerned about initially. I feel happy that I tried it out :-) Sandy was very attentive, professional, and responded promptly to my texts. Her upstairs studio is super cozy, cute, and calming. The music that's played during the service was enlightening, soothing, and very relaxing. I had excruciating sciatica pain and over the course of a week, it continued getting worse. I tried everything I could to try to resolve it at home: stretching, heat treatments, pain meds... with little to no relief. I was at about a 9/10 pain level. My daughter had gotten a sports massage with Sandy a year or two back, so I thought I'd see if she could help me. In all honesty, I went in with low expectations because I was in a really dark place (lack of sleep and pain shooting down both hips and legs will put you there). I feel awful for doubting this woman, even for a second!!! It was the most wonderful pain I've ever experienced. She also sent me home with KT tape on my hip which was a nice little surprise. After the massage, my body couldn't stop shaking (which I read is common) but once that subsided my pain was less than a 3! I am now 3 days out from my appt with Sandy and I'm 1-2! I still feel it every once in a while, but I'm myself again!!! Sandy saved me! Every piece of me wanted to gatekeep her because I tried getting another appt today but she's booked! I have some dense muscle tissue with some serious tightness in my back, glutes, pyriformis and IT bands. I often feel that after a massage I do not get the therapeutic release I need and am disappointed. Well, this is not the case at the Zenergy Spa.
