I ordered a cobb salad with extra chicken, no bleu cheese and no egg. What I got was no extra chicken and tons of bleu cheese, which is all over the salad and impossible to remove. I'm always on the hunt for the best 8-10 inch personal pizza in Cleveland! Today I tried a BBQ chicken pizza from my local Zeppe's, which I have never been to before. I ordered it for a late afternoon carryout and brought it home. It was not busy inside. The pizza has great, thick cheese and a slightly spicy sauce. It also had a "homemade" feel, especially with the zig zag crust. Personally, I wish the crust had more of a flavor as it felt like eating plain bread or cracker. Additionally, the pizza was slightly burnt but that was not too big of a deal for me as I enjoy a good crunch. Am I nitpicking? Yeah, but it's a $15 personal pans so I'm expecting perfection. However, the more I ate it, the more I liked it! I wish it was a bit cheaper but I think I found a candidate for my go to personal pizza! read more

Very good pizza and pizza rolls! Saw that they were known for their zig zag crust pizza so had to try that. Ordered for take out via their website and my order was ready when I got to the restaurant. Got a pepperoni pizza with the zig zag crust, 4 pepperoni rolls and a Cobb salad. Pizza was delicious. They have some seating inside but this location seems like mostly a take out spot. I bought 3 sheet pizzas from this place yesterday and boy were they terrible!! 2 deluxe 1 pep and sausage. Just a complete waste of 80$. Everybody talked about how bad the pizza was ! No flavor what so ever , just bland pizza! I should've went with my first mind and got Gioninos Bedford. read more

We have been on the search for great pizza near us and we have finally found it!!! We had the family over for dinner and ordered a pepperoni and a Tuscan chicken. Delicious, both of them! After a few more rounds of ordering at Zeppes the magic hasn't worn off! Their pizza holds up really well to carry-out/delivery and having tried their hawaiian, supreme, and veggie pizzas, I can honestly say they're all good. I know hawaiian pizza is a controversial topic but this place does it well! Their pineapples aren't too sweet and the ratio of bacon and ham aren't over-powering so it's a great place to try one if you're on the fence about them. The crust has been better salted the past few times we've ordered and has grown on me although it still doesn't beat an exceptional thin crust or a solid detroit deep dish in my opinion. The Clevelander and Meatball parm remain the best in my book, the first for its originality (and because I love italian sub flavors) and the second because of it lucious savoriness with the ricotta and parmesan. read more

It is so refreshing to see that Zeppe's is as awesome as they have always been and have adapted to these trying times. I placed an online order for my family this past Saturday. It had been a long day of a stressful home improvement project and cooking was just not going to happen. The online ordering process is super simple. They are offering contactless delivery currently as well. I ordered 2, 12 cut pizzas, 1 small order of wings, and 1 large order of wings. The delivery estimation was 60 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from the driver just 30 minutes later. I thought he needed clarification on something, but he told me he was outside my house. He said that when he didn't see contactless delivery noted on the order he wanted to call and make sure it wasn't an oversight before approaching my door. That was so thoughtful and kind. Unfortunately, this is the only location I've had a bad experience with. If I could have put a Zero rating, I would have. I placed an order tonight for boneless wings, a sub, fries, Zepperoni rolls and the apple pies. The delivery took over an hour (I live 9 minutes from the location). The driver was pleasant, but I realized I was missing the sub after he left. I called the store to confirm and they accused me of lying. The manager "Chrissy or Christy" (not sure who it was) was talking badly and loudly about me in the background. They offered to remake the sub and deliver if I paid for it... I already paid for it!!! The order they read back to me was one item less and three dollars more than the total I received online. I tried explaining this to the manager while she was getting irate and she hung up on me. So we called back (after being hung up on!!!) because we still wanted our food!! So they offered to remake the sub and deliver it no charge. As we waited for the sub, I bit in to a wing to realize it was bone in. I called the store back (now the fourth time) and let them know. It's hard not to get frustrated, but they said they would add the wings to the sub and have them delivered. The gentleman who answered the phone each time called us to let me know the food was on its way. When the food arrived, I confirmed with the driver that I received the incorrect wings and showed him my receipt!! When I opened the sub... it was just pathetic. The description of the Zeppe's original is: "Genoa salami, capicola and ham topped with melted provolone & mozzarella cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, banana peppers and drizzled with Italian dressing". The melted would make one assume it was toasted... the sub I received is something a 4 year old made. No cheese, not toasted.... no words. The customer service is piss poor. You get accused of lying if your order is wrong. No accountability. Zeppe's just lost a loyal customer. read more

HANDS DOWN BEST PIZZA EVER!!! I'm no food critic but when it comes to pizza I think I am and this is by far the best I've ever had. On top of that the service, by Rose, was absolutely phenomenal. Very helpful when we told her we were new to the area, she let us take our time looking over the menu and even gave us recommendations! We tried the Double Down Pizza with zig zag crust, the Club Wrap and the mozzarella wedges. Food came out very quick and was steaming hot! 10/10 would recommend to stop in and try this place! Loved the online ordering! It was very easy to navigate/order. Although we got worried when the online order update did not change from "processing," it was still delivered on the earlier side of the timeframe that was given when placing the order. Overall, our food was pretty good! Boneless wings and zepperoni rolls were probably the best out of everything we got. Our side of ranch was missing, but luckily we had some at home. Meatball sub was decent..not much sauce on it so if you like it saucy order an extra side of marinara. Fries are super thin.. which I like, but they didn't stay hot through the delivery. We ordered two calzones and they were delicious. 4 stars because mine was a bit soggy after arriving to the house. They were so big that we ate half one day and saved the other half for lunch. Flew in late on a Sunday and everything was closed except this place, we knew they were about to close and decided to see if the kitchen was still open. Boy were we surprised when they welcomed us with open arms. We decided on the Zeppes original and turkey club with an order of wings. Firstly, the subs were outstanding, crusty bread stuffed with meats and cheeses, along with your typical sub veggies. These subs were too notch! Wings came out perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and meaty on the inside. I opted for fries with my sandwich, very thin, not really a thin fry guy, but I didn't care at the time. What's not to love about a pizza place? It's sort of local and the food is good. Delivery is fast and there's a great online ordering system. Nutrition information is nowhere to be found, but maybe I'm better off that way. Eating the cheese calzone makes me feel guilty because it's so oohey-gooey. The pizza is great. The garlic twists are really good, if you like bread-stick types dishes. I hear the boneless wings are surprisingly good. Overall, this is a great place to grab a take out dinner. The thing I don't love is that there seems to be some variance in pricing and menu items. I'm boring and order literally the same items every time. Sometimes my salads are small - sometimes they're big. The same thing happens with my pizza. And sadly, also with the price. I've found that when I question my order taker about the difference in price, my order magically ends up being $5 lower. Hmmm. I hope the owner eventually catches on to this.
