Very happy with Zeta. We're using them in El Dorado Hills. The 10mbps has allowed me to watch any streaming service just fine with no buffering. There have been maybe 2 or 3 brief outages since we started using them in early 2022. Their phone support is great. One night after they were closed, I left a voicemail for their tech support regarding the service not working. Before I woke up the next morning the problem had been fixed and they had left me a message. The best service though, was when I called due to a problem, and tech support determined the modem/router had failed. I called on a Friday evening. The next morning the service tech was at my door 10 minutes BEFORE the 8am appointment. Within 15 minutes the equipment was replaced and my service was working. It may not be the fastest I internet but it's totally functional and Zeta's customer service is great. read more

I have been with Zeta since 2012. Yes, there are outages but I do not consider them excessive. Overall service has been excellent. I have their top-of-the-line residential plan with 10mbps link. In daytime I will get about 4mbps throughput but at night I will get full 10mbps without problem. We have 3 teenagers in the house; with iPhones and xBox and Playstation and Netflix and Amazon Prime and HBOGo, they download lots of stuff snd costume tons of data. Zeta has never complained about my data usage. The only "issue" I have is that their residential package tops at 10mbps despite that my house has line-of-sight to their tower and can support 20mbps+. I hope Zeta will review their residential offerings and adjust them to higher speed (at a minimum during the off-peak period (11pm-5am) so my kids can do their Fortnite updates. read more

Let me start by saying we've had AT&T DSL for many many years. We never got more than 1.5 Mbps up and .8 Mbps down. Working from home has been a total nightmare and don't even think about streaming Netflix while surfing Facebook. Our friend clued us in to wireless ISP so we searched our area for providers. We found Zeta and Cal.net but Cal.net told us they didn't have room for another customer in our area due to tower limitations. Zeta was out in a week and got us set up right away. Craig installed our new antenna within a few hours and had the internet up and running. My mom and I even torture tested the connection. We streamed HBOgo, and Netflix at the same time with no buffering, all while working from our home computers. Now we get at least 5Mbps up and 1.5Mbps down. I finally don't feel like we're in the stone ages. Unfortunately we ran into a hiccup. We've had the ATT Microcell for years now and have had no issues. Without our m-cell its almost impossible to get phone reception. When I plugged our m-cell into the new router it didn't work. I spent hours that day on the phone with ATT to try and reactivate the m-cell on our new internet. By the time 6pm rolled around I still had no m-cell and Zeta tech support was closed. I went ahead and sent Zeta an email relaying the information ATT had given me and the next morning I got a call from Bill, the Zeta tech God, who helped me troubleshoot my m-cell. He even got ATT on the line with me so we could collaborate information to get the m-cell working. A few hours later the problem has been resolved and I finally have cell service! Zeta has gone above and beyond the call of duty to get my m-cell sorted and my internet up and running. Bill even took a minute to answer questions I had about operating a personal NAS device on our new internet. I couldn't be happier, these guys are heroes in my book! read more

These goons obviously devote a lot more resources to monitoring their yelp reviews than they do their actual physical network. If you say a cuss they're pretty quick to get things brought down, but if you try and use the internet between 8 and 10 PM, no dice. What's the deal folks? Maybe get rid of the social media monitor and hire literally a single network engineer, or upgrade your uplinks to a princely fast ethernet speed. It can't be that hard. I'm not exaggerating here about the 8-10 garbage speeds; your normally slow connection will literally be unusable during these periods on a regular basis. How is it possible they can't even manage 1mbps? Who knows, but they pull it off. Please keep in mind again, they apparently watch yelp closely enough to piss and moan about my previous review complaining about their garbage service, but do not care to make the actual service you pay money for remotely acceptable. This should give you a clue about where their priorities lie. In other words if you actually intend to use the service--a crazy idea I know--you will not get much satisfaction from these clowns. If you are a clueless hillbilly living up a hollow I guess it will suffice, but these days the sierra foothills seem to be more people with large fortunes looking to convert them into small fortunes with vineyards and such. Consistently slow internet not able to consistently buffer a video. I pay for lightning fast 6 down and I'm almost under 1 down. Do not work with this company unless you have literally no other choice. They do not respond to service calls or troubleshoot with you, heaven forbid you have a problem on a weekend or holiday because you are simply out of luck. I have always had good service from Zeta. You will need line of sight to use them. We are moving away from Zeta because we found a faster alternative. We paid for 6 down 3 up and got that during the day. Speeds were less in the evening but still allowed us to stream, etc. Every once in a while service went out or down to 1mb, but most of the time it was acceptable. read more

Our renter had Hughes Net but said it would buffer all the time during video or Net Flix. I decided to get Hughes Net only after they said with their 5g we wouldn't have any issues with buffering. Wrong! Their tech came out and changed satellites but it still continually buffered every 2-3 minutes while watching. This went on for almost a month! Super frustrating! I called Zeta and Craig (super professional, very polite, just a really nice guy) came out to do a test. When finished he said he was 100 percent confident they we would get a good signal. Craig came again to do the install. He was careful to remove his muddy shoes and did a very neat, clean installation with the equipment and wires. Afterwards he completely explained the rates which were 3 types you can buy on a month to month status. I chose the middle package. From the minute since the install I've had zero buffering no matter what I watch and when, the speed is great and my cell works better (normally I rarely get a bar). From my initial phone call, to the install all I've received was professionalism, friendly and experienced people who like what they do, are confident in their product and it's ability, are courteous and the best part: I'm not paying an arm and a leg for internet. I would highly recommend Zeta to anyone that lives in the foothills and needs internet or a WiFi phone and isn't happy with the provider they have. read more

When it works, it's nice to have high speed Internet. However, when it goes down, which it often does when there is heavy rain or wind, there is no tech support except Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. If it's down on a weekend, forget it. They don't return calls until 8am Monday morning. Love this company and service. Had Dish and Hughes Net prior and nothing but problems during storms so essentially limited use in winter and both very costly. For general use of Netflix, Amazon, Hallmark channel and internet this has been great. I have 4 room mates and hardly ever an issue with use or speeds. Have used Zeta for quite a long time now. I am out of range for dsl and the local cable service is awful so searched for an alternative and found Zeta. They install a small microwave dish on your roof and you get good quality Internet service. Now they are not the least expensive choice for service but the net is up almost all the time and when its down they are relatively quick in correcting the problem. I have been with Zeta Broadband for a couple of years now, and have nothing but praise for them. I have very little outage. When their system is down you can always caal tec support and they will have a message telling where the outage is and when they estimate to have it fixed. It is a little expensive compared to DSL or cable but when you live in Rescue you do not have much choice. Good and friendly support. Kepp up the good work guys read more

I've had Zeta broadband for three years now and their service has always been good. Yes there have been time when it took a day or so to clear an outage, usually after a lightning strike, and being in telecommunications myself I know that no system is lightning proof, and I'm glad they are realistic in the number of techs they keep on duty, I'd hate to pay what it would cost to have 24X7 coverage. To be fair to Zeta, I have seen them fix problems on weekends, it's just that techs are by nature not people persons so they usually won't call the customer unless someone twists their arm, so the comments below that you always have to wait for Monday for service are not exactly true. We live in the country with limited options but have experienced far too many service outages with Zeta Broadband and slow connection speeds. Terrible service. When their service is down they try to blame it on your equipment. They take two weeks to send a technician out. You have to pay for that technician visit ($85!!!), and then it turns out it's actually their equipment which was faulty! No refund for me, no apology even. And I run a small business out of my home. Having no internet for two weeks is completely unacceptable! And I still ended up paying for service for those two weeks AND the $85 for the technician to come out and fix THEIR problem. I am so impressed with Zeta. I moved from San Jose, CA to a rural area of Shingle Springs, CA that has no cable service for internet. We found out about and tried Hughes Net. This was slow but we were ok as long as we could get service. Then we met our neighbour who told us about Zeta Broadband. We decided to give them a try as he said it was fast. After an expensive mistake I have to worn people like us to go straight to Zeta. I used Zeta for a number of years, and I'm really thrilled with their service. The ISP connection seems to be operational 99%+ of the time, even during crazy winter storms. Zeta allows me to work from home 2 days out of the week, and without them I would need to commute from Cool ( where I live ) to Roseville every single day. Other than Zeta my only other option is a Sattelite ISP service, which is both slow and very expensive. read more

Wow... This company is such a disappointment. They never answer calls and will return your calls the next morning. If you miss their call you might as well wait till the next day. Would it really kill them to hire some people to stay in the office to do answer phone calls and do some simple trouble shooting??? I had Zeta for the past 8+ years.(only provider in the rural area at the time) The service does have multiple interruptions and reaching a technician is difficult. I also purchased the extra service plan in case of damage to the equipment.(this was a recommendation on their part). Recently my antenna collapsed due to the wind and Zeta did not honor the service agreement I have been paying on a monthly basis. I reached out to them and they decided not to return my calls or refund me the money for the service agreement. Beware of paying extra fees to protect your equipment. And as other customers have said, their internet service goes down regularly and is not up to speed as they claim. read more

When you can reach them they are really nice but depending on who you get they can be helpful to ineffectual. I sent an email one time to their customer service department about how unhappy I was with the service. She basically told me to go and kick rocks and find another provider. I absolutely did that. I found that ATT offered LTE internet and instead of getting a lousy 6MBPS of shoddy, constantly interrupted service for $99/month, thats right $99/month!!!??? I now get 36mbps for the same price.
