I liked the food this middle eastern restaurant served, but I thought they charged more for it than it was worth. For $26, I got the Kafta, which is 3 skewers of lamb and beef mixed together served with a yogurt sauce for dipping, 3 small potatoes on a skewer and a small side salad. It cost twice what I had for lunch that day and was of similar quality and quantity. The meat skewers were good, but the potatoes were undercooked. So I guess I'd say the food is good (not great), but they charge too much.

The dinner banquet ($39/person, $45/person with dessert) was a bombardment of: - Dips with bread: Excellent beetroot, carrot and hummus. Be careful - it is tempting and all too easy to fill up on the bread. Resist! - Entree sampler: Unremarkable. - Mains: Well-season kebabs, mince meat and pork chops on the bone. We had been recommended the last item and it did not disappoint. - Salad: Unremarkable. - Dessert: Great baklava and halwa. I learned I personally like the Asian version of the floss dessert better than the Turkish one. To disclose, we had been sent here by a family member of the owner and we did end up with post-meal coffee and dessert comped, but it was icing on what was already one of the best dining experiences we had in a week in Canberra. A bit expensive unless for an occasion or with an expense account, but that happens often enough in the government seat that it's worth the trip to the suburbs.

It always makes great leftovers and keeps pretty well, demonstrating the good quality of the steak. The staff are always nice and pleasant. Ironically, no matter how many times we come back, we somehow get given the same table. I wonder if they track previous bookings under the same name and contact details or if this is a weird coincidence? It's good to know we are "window" worthy. My spouse looks like a sexy basketball player, but is also annoying, so I can understand why we get sat next to the corner window (joke). I know other reviewers have said this is a place for carnivores; but I've also booked a work event here once where someone was a vegan, and they were happy to accomodate and the vegan loved their alternate options. Their menu might be limited in dietary requirements, but you can just ask and they do something up. All my reviews are standardised to the following star ratings: 1. Customer service I.e. friendly, easy to book, etc. 2. Accessibility I.e. location, decor and scenery, easily assessable or flexible, etc. 3. Work, health and safety I.e. clean, safe, etc. 4. Quality of goods and/or services I.e. good food, good movers, etc. 5. Comparison to similar for location - I.e. would I recommend this above other places

I had a big breakfast style meal with sausages, bacon, eggs, toast and blood sausage. The service at breakfast was a bit lackluster with our coffee orders being stuffed up repeatedly. However I Loved it so much I had to come back and try the dinner. Dinner on both occasions was the $55pp chef tasting menu. This was such an amazing onslaught of food and I loved it to bits. Ordered a dessert which was unfortunately disappointing on both occasions, the desert menu had changed both times. I remember my first desert was some weird mix of meringue, basil and salted caramel and it just didn't work. The service at dinner was much better but overall has been a mixed bag on each visit. What sadly ruined it for me is when a friend of mine left a friendly review on another website and received a threatening response from the restaurants head chef via private message. My friend simply stated that whilst nice it was not his favourite restaurant in Braddon. The chef accused my friend if being fake and that he was going to take legal action. I contacted the restaurant to advise that the review was legitimate and was treated equally as bad. I was so upset by the chefs response that I unfortunately will not be going back. I eventually received a half hearted apology but it was too little too late. So sad that they have no idea how to manage their image online.

We came to this restaurant several years ago, now I know what your saying why review it now?…read moreusually I'll leave a review until I have a mood for it or at a time when I am less angry at my experience, this time was merely I forgot and because I was looking up Lebanese restaurants I bumped into it and realised I never left my upset review and so I'll do it now and while I'm in good spirits. I read a few reviews I'm pretty sure there was more then just the ones here, I read the menu looked at the pictures the whole enchilada, despite that the experience was not a nice one. My chicken shawarma was salty AF! like it had so much salt I barely managed to finish half of it let alone the entire dish. The desert I ordered was something with milk, nuts and spices? either way the spices were so overpowering it ruined the desert entirely. My mums order was a kebab plate, she was unimpressed with the flavours and so was I and both her onions that could of been eaten were burnt to a crisp and of course inedible, they were black as coal. Ordered a side of hummus or hommus not sure the difference iPad recognises one but not the other and it was gross and I've had over 20 different hommus over the years and this one was the worst of the lot. A good night ruined by bad food, maybe they've improved now maybe they haven't but the scar has stayed and we will not return. For likely the same price I can go down to the Fyshwick markets and get a super plate of shawarma and hommus that actually tastes freaking amazing, but one thing I'd tell them off for is it has way too much oil it's literally drowning in it.

The Mezza plate for two was exceptional and a generous size portion. For the main meal I had the marinated lamb casserole with spiced rice, Lebanese bread and tzaziki.... Delish!!! It's def not the cheapest place in town but the standard of food and service was exceptional. Highly recommended.
