The food is the kind of stuff you would get in Brooklyn at the corner restaurant run by first generation Italians. Home made everything. Meatballs, marinara sauce, meat sauce and the fettuccine sauce were all just like Nona used to make. The restaurant is large enough to accommodate plenty of hungry people, but not ginormous. If I lived in the area, this would be one of my go to Italian restaurants. I had a salad, the meatball appetizer, breadsticks, lasagna and a few different combinations of the sauces for dipping. I was given a recommendation to try Zianos, so one weekend my family came here after shopping nearby in Kroger. The decor of the place is definitely old school Italian restaurant. It's a bit dark, but comfortable and inviting. I will say the entire time that service was excellent. We started off with some appetizers. One we definitely ordered were those honey breadsticks we were recommended to buy. They were as delicious as my coworker told me. They were soft, sweet and just wonderful. We also ordered the meatball appetizer which we thoroughly enjoyed. The minestrone soups we got were also warm and hearty. Unfortunately, we started well but the main course was a huge disappointment. I had the Baked Chicken Mozzarella, did not taste right... pasta was doughy. First time visitor from WI. Can't leave a better review when my carry-out order was incomplete. Thursday, October 24th, my elderly parents love Zianos but don't travel well, so for their 60TH anniversary, I ordered carry-out - 2 entrees and 3 apps (their appetites are more suited for appetizers these days). I broke my own rule of checking the accuracy of the order before leaving the credit card swipe desk / hostess station. Anyway, got back to the folks, and began plating the dishes, when anger hit me. Missing an appetizer. What was I supposed to do? Call Zianos and then drive 20 minutes back to restaurant, as everyone was eating? Demanded they deliver the missing item via GrubHub or Door Dash? Tried to oder online. It says if you order 1 entree, you get free breadsticks. However, the website does not recognize the orders and would not give credit for the breadsticks. Had to call the order in and since I had to do that, the free breassticks offer was not valid. The person on the phone admitted that the website was a mess, but would not give us the breadsticks. Picking up in the restaurant was a mess and they still admitted that the online ordering was a problem, but still did not offered any compensation. We live close to a Ziano's, so we eat there at least once a month. And if we don't eat there we take home one of their small pizzas. We've never gotten a bad meal there. For the portion size, it's a fair price. They also do a lot of takeout and catering. My favorite is shrimp Alfredo. My husband pretty much sticks with spaghetti and meatball. my wife and I always enjoy eating at Zianos. the wait staff is superb, very attentive, and the food is great! my only beef is with take out orders. the last three times we ordered take out they take my money but then I have to beg for someone to look for my food. last night (7/28/26) we didn't get our food until 30 minutes past the quoted time. they have two people taking money and behind them the orders pile up on a rack. no one pays any attention until you make multiple requests to find it. by the time we got home (a five minute trip) the food was cold, I will NEVER order takeout from Zianos (Dupont Road) again! I'll say again, I wish Yelp had a 3.5 rating. This was over a 3 but not a 4, in my opinion. It was a nice first experience. My family and I stopped in for a Carry Out order. I noticed several things immediately 1. The space is much later than it looks from the outside. 2. They have great social distancing tables and seating arrangements. 3. They have a nice staff 4. Ordering on the website and pick up is extremely easy. Now for the food. We had the Fontini- sausage, penne, and peppers. It was amazing. The meal was packed with sausage and full of peppers. The only thing missing for me was a smidge of spice. I love a hint of spice to food. The flavors all married perfectly. Great flavor! The Marsala was a disappointment. It was bland and the breading came off the chicken. The texture and flavor was off. We each tried a forkful and decided we couldn't go further with the dish. This is the type of food they find acceptable to send out for delivery. I have never and I mean NEVER had pizza so bad in my entire life. I was completely embarrassed when it arrived for the guests I ordered it for. This was supposed to have pepperoni but honestly the pepperoni wouldn't have even saved it. It was dry and yet incredibly greasy at the same time, the cheese had no taste and the sauce was salty and bland. I've wholeheartedly had better pizza from speedway or my highschool even. Edit: almost certainly got food poisoning from this food. Not only was the food disgusting, it was very likely not prepped properly and thus caused horrible sickness. Guessing something in the salad that I didn't notice until too late, see for yourself photos of the lettuce. Save yourself the agony and go elsewhere! Meh. Have had much better "quick" Italian. Portion ridiculously small for pasta. Alfredo sauce-someone hold the water and the garlic. By golly, 3 cloves of garlic in one tiny serving of Alfredo won't fix the watery otherwise flavorless mess. Salad looked great until I opened it, and took a bite. The lettuce under the top was wilted, rotted (see photo), and had some sort of black specks all over. Gross! Not to mention about 1/2 a bunch of green onion-thought it was a normal salad not green onion with lettuce. The lack of care for food prep speaks volumes. Highly highly recommend this local establishment. There is plenty of parking space and there usually no wait except for the busy days but everyone is busy during that time. I usually go for lunch. They have amazing lunch specials and daily deals. Most usually include a small salad. The lunch portions are huge. I always get the soup and salad and upgrade to the large Greek salad for $2 extra. Sooo good. All lunch specials are m- sat 11-3. That's crazy. Staff is very friendly. Always smiling however lately we've been getting this one male server who's kinda rude, doesn't check on us or deliver our food or cleat dishes away. Just wasn't attentive at all. The food is amazing and flavorful. Served piping hot and cones out in a well amount of time. Def go support local and enjoy. read more

I waivered between 3.75-4 on this. We went for an early dinner a few weeks ago. Boyfriend started with the breadsticks, which are always good, so buttery and fluffy. I had the spicy shrimp appetizer, which I really liked! The marinara had a kick but wasn't too spicy. The portion size was a little small though. Our entrees were shrimp alfredo and chicken piccata. Their alfredo is VERY good; actually it is a lighter alfredo than what I've had at other places, and I liked that. I was slightly disappointed in the chicken. It really tasted like frozen chicken, which isn't ok with me. It was very dry. The sauce was good, and I like their gluten-free penne. The service was so-so. Our server didn't have much personality, and she was WAY overloaded with too many tables...I've also placed several catering orders for my company, and the food is consistently good every time, which impresses me. I have Celiac and as someone who has that, I have to plan my meals and days out with my family and friends. I called and spoke with the manager and asked if their GF pasta was Celiac friendly. I was told yes. I asked about all of their sauces and he listed off all of the ingredients and assured me they would be kept away from cross contamination and that they did not use any form of wheat, rye, barly, flour..etc in their alfrado and marinara. I asked if they offered gluten free salad dressings and he said that he know for a fact that their house made dressing was gluten free. When I went with my son, sister and mother I clarified again that what I was ordering was gluten free. I was told yes. Our server, Krystal, was not at all educated on what gluten was. She kept offering me bread with my salad and I had explained to her many times that I can not have gluten, bread, flour..etc because I have Celiac. When I ordered she had the manager come and I asked to make sure AGAIN that the pasta was gluten free, boiled in it's own pan with fresh water, and that the alfrado was gluten free. No flour, wheat, gluten was used. The manager told me it was safe. Not 30 minutes after receiving my food did I start to feel off. My stomach began to hurt. We left and not 15 minutes later I was getting sick, shaking and on the verge of throwing up. I was glutened. I took every precaution and asked many times and was lied to. When my sister had called and explained the situation, it was another manager, a woman, and she was not educated on what gluten was and said more then likely the pasta was boiled in same water as the others. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave me regular penne pasta. She did not care, did not offer a refund, did not apologize. As a resturant, you shouldn't be offering gluten free pasta and allowing your staff to say it's Celiac friendly when you boil it in the same water as normal pasta. As a restaurant you shouldn't be allowing your staff to work with food if they don't know what gluten is. Celiac disease is not just an intolerance. It's an autoimmune disorder that causes pain, vomiting, intense bloating..your small intestine literally destroys itself. Thinking it was okay to eat here was a mistake and I'll make sure the whole gluten free and Celiac community is aware of this. I made sure MULTIPLE times. I called before hand to be sure. This is not okay. If i would have known, i would have never had come. Zianos management, do better in teaching and educating your staff. Because of the lies and uneducated staff I will now be suffering with the pain of being glutened for the next week. Do better. read more

This was our first time visit to a popular italian eatery. We were seated promptly and provided menus. Our seating was in a room off the main dining area. Since it was a holiday weekend, it was starting to get busy at the time we arrived. For appetizers we chose an order of their breadsticks and a glass of wine. The order was 5 breadsticks for only 99 cents and were warm and delicious. We ordered the house salad consisting of lettuce, shredded mozzarella and chopped tomatoes. The vinaigrette was not too vinegary or oily and was one of the best I have had. For our main entrees I hand the sausage, peppers and onions over pasta with marinara sauce. My husband ordered the lasagna. Both of our entrees were delicious and generous portions, leaving us with leftovers to enjoy at home.
