The expected plan,…read morethat we discussed at length was to perform two surgeries one on the peroneal tendon, and the other on the mid foot. During the recovery I found out he only performed one of the two procedures. He convinced me post surgery that it did not matter, and that was the way he would do it again. And so I proceeded with a second surgery with him. When I returned with an appointment about 9 months later it was unbearable to walk and I knew something was wrong. In the back examination room he made me wait for 2 hours attending to other patients. He came in and told me nothing was wrong and go to pain management. As it turns out his peroneal tendon was not corrected done and I had the tendon reattached elsewhere by a NYC orthopedic surgeon. Then I had a 2nd surgery on a loose tendon to the cuboid bone. Dr. Trotter who use to work with Connors but left years ago, told me in private that the cuboid tendon snapped because of the mid foot was not repaired in a timely manner.

My insurance company has hardly covered any of the charges because they say Dr. Dowd's billable amounts exceed their maximum for the procedure. Very frustrating!
