I explained the situation, that I didn't know what was wrong with the appliances, if they used gas, age of the appliances, etc. I also discussed the possibility of having to replace one or both appliances with used or new. He went out to check out the problem, texted back that both appliances just needed simple, INEXPENSIVE repairs. He went out the next day and repaired both machines. He does not take credit cards but is content to wait for a cashier's check to take care of the balance. It doesn't get any better than this.

Within 20 minutes, he fixed our lamp post that another (non-licenced) electrician could not find the problem and told us we needed a new lamp post.
