Had my verrry first authentic French cuisine at this restaurant and my first taste of foie gras too! English menu and English speaking waiters here made my first French restaurant visit much easier.
What we ordered: Warm artichokes, duck foie gras and roquette as a starter and two entrees: Grilled lamb roast with fresh thyme, beans, grilled bacon cream and parsley; Salers beef piece, home-made french fries and salad. The starter is excellent although pricey (13 euros) for a small plate but because the foie gras is so heavy, and they give you several pieces, one is plenty to share with two people. They also give a side of bread so you're pretty much halfway through your hunger threshold by the end of your starter. If I went back to Zinc Zinc though, it's not the foie gras but the grilled lamb that was especially amazing. I really wanted to steal it off my cohort who couldn't finish it anyways because the portion size is huge and it is quite salty. Lastly, I'd skip the Salers beef because it was 60% fat and the fries were soggy and wimpy, wimpy, wimpy! (what a disappointment for my first authentic "French" fries). There is also a nice bar area with many couples scattered about just for social drinking. Can't comment on the drinks because we didn't get any.
Pretty much, if you are around Neuilly sur Seine and looking for affordable salty French food, come here :) Also, wifi. Yay! read more
