Four months ago, I was rear-ended at a complete stop. I went to another chiropractor in Kitsap County, but they only adjusted me and did not conduct any further assessment, x-rays, or evaluation. As a result, I still experienced pain. I then discovered Dr. Richie's office, and he and his staff have been amazing! Dr. Richie took X-rays and explained to me what was going on. Although I'm still experiencing issues on my right side, a combination of chiropractic care and massage has helped me move without being in excruciating pain. After going to urgent care and occupational health, I was referred to physical therapy and could choose where to go. I chose the team at Silverdale PhysioWorks since I had such a good initial meeting with them in another capacity. Wow; talk about thorough practices! From my initial consultation with Karl, to my three times per week therapy sessions, to getting scheduled with Cara at the front desk: it's been fabulous. They utilize an app that can travk my exercises, modify my routine and remind me to do my pt at home. I had torn ligaments in it that required surgery for which I had replaced with donor tissue in July 2025. I was impressed with their professionalism and friendly demeanor that made the process to relearn the use of my elbow calm and comfortable. I recently completed my time in their clinic this October with their seal of approval lol. I am now on my way to the next phase of my recovery on getting used to lifting weighted things on my own with current work limitations in place (until possibly December 2025 or later depending on my doctors approval). I can pretty much bend elbow normally as of Oct. 2025 so that's a goal met, and I can pick light weight things up without any major discomfort, but like with anything, it will take time and patience to continue strengthening my elbow before moving on to heavier, more physically demanding things I was able to do before. The Mackenzie method is a comprehensive of approach to treating pain and injury. It uses a combination of patient, education, exercise, and manual therapy to assess and treat pain. Dr. Duncan is one of the few practitioners in our area who is certified in the McKenzie method. Dr. Duncan also provides manual therapy as part of the McKenzie method. He uses a combination of soft tissue work joint motor mobilization, and at times manipulation to reduce pain and restore function. His hands on approach helps to relieve pain, improve improvement and restore function. I highly recommend trusting the McKenzie method and Dr. Duncan's expertise! Yeah, I really don't believe in the whole "you need to come in every few days for the rest of your life, and subluxations will kill you" I believe that if I have a crick in my neck or if something is hurting I need to see someone, if it isn't fixed then maybe there is something wrong with the "fixin" process. Well, Dr. Morgan, isn't like anyone I've ever been to, FIRST, she came out and said that after three visits for the same thing if she hasn't fixed me, she'll refer me out. Amazing, and the way it should be. Honest and too the point the entire appointment. Second, I work crazy hours and she is willing to work around them and find a time that works for me and her to make sure I can be seen when I do need it. Also, she adjusts way differently from how I have ever been adjusted, it's not a 10 minute jump on you crack crack crack adjustment, she'll crack you but it's by you using your muscle manipulation and getting the nerves involved, it's intense, and you'll feel it. She takes my insurance and she's easy to talk to. Not your typical chiro office or practice, but I feel at home here, even with the Cross-Fit gym shouting next door. Yes, there is a Cross-Fit gym right next to the office and it's not exactly LOUD, but if you're expecting an office with an old man with Enya playing in the background, this isn't it. If you're expecting a Dr. that truly knows what she is doing, is honest, fair, and works with you. This is the place.
