Seriously- SO slow I can't take it. Been here in the drive through for 20 minutes and no one has said a word. Can't come here anymore.

Well, I was going to open an account at the Hildale, UT branch because it is the ONLY bank out…read morehere, which leaves me stranded many xs until I have the time to drive all the way to St. George. But the lady at the side desk (not the front desk teller) was so rude when I walked into their little office inside Bee's asking about ATMs that I feel discouraged to do so. Then, I just read through a bunch of Yelp reviews and have now concluded they'd likely be a nightmare to work with. When it's something as important as your money, I don't know why they have so much slow/lazy/rude attitude towards their customers. I'll stick with my banks. I really wish America First Credit Union would get a branch out here!!

I walked into this credit union intending to open a new account with a substantial deposit. I gave…read moremy name at the counter and was told it would be "just a second." Thirty minutes later, I asked how much longer it might be. The answer? "Could be five minutes or another hour." When I spoke with the manager, I was told I could make an appointment with a teller who was "returning from lunch in a few minutes." I asked for clarification--"So that teller, when they return from lunch, will be able to help me?" The manager's response: "I don't know. If they get in a car crash on the way back, they won't be able to help you." What kind of professional response is that? Completely irrelevant, insensitive, and ridiculous. I came ready to bring significant business to this institution, and instead I was treated with dismissiveness and nonsense. Never go here. Take your money somewhere else where they value their customers' time and business.

This has got to be the worst and most annoying bank I've ever been to in my entire life. Not…read morenecessarily because of the employees but the setup that they have there. When you find the bank in Walmart all you see are like 3 or four stations with a phone, tv screen, and a tube for you to place things. There are no humans in view When you first walk up, it's not entirely clear what you are supposed to do as the screen stays off. I had to ask the person next to me what to do (later I discovered there are instructions in the station). You have to fill out a form and put it in the tube. Once you do the screen pops on with a teller that's sitting somewhere on the other side. You then have to painstakingly try to communicate with them through a speaker that's far too quiet (or pick up the phone, which isn't all that much better). It took nearly 10 or 15 mins just to have a check deposited. I'm not sure what this is all about, and I'm not sure if it's always been like this. It's like they either thought the bank was located in the Bronx and wanted extra security, or they made the change during COVID, and have since realized they far over engineered a "solution" to covid interactions and now that it's over have to keep it in place because it costed way too much money. Whatever the reason is, this was a very poor decision made by America first. When dealing with money, often large amounts, I want to be dealing face to face with a person. I will be doing what I can to avoid this location in the future

All the bankers and tellers looked very professional and friendly as usual. This location is far from my usual location in the Millcreek area, but I was in the Taylorsville area and had time to get some of my questions answered about the Propel American Express Card and a savings account. I was helped by Maggie Hernandez and she did well beyond just answer my questions; she related to me, told me about her personal experiences, and gave me all the time I needed with no sense of hurry or rush even with a full bank of customers. Maggie also went above and beyond to give me more than what I asked for. For instance, she printed me the information for the credit card and gave me extra pamphlets about credit (which I never received when I opened my first credit card with Wells Fargo)! Maggie even told me about possible future actions I can take that she personally took and what the pros and cons were due to those investments. She talked to me not like a customer, but as a friend. It was comforting to speak with her and not awkward to continue to talk to her. I've been to a couple Wells Fargo's around Utah, but I've never had such great service as this Taylorsville Wells Fargo. At other Wells Fargo's, I usually just get the information I need with polite service and that's about it. I have Maggie Hernandez to thank for all this insight into "adulting".
