When I was searching for a website company, Contractor Website Services seemed like the perfect choice. Their website emphasized helping small businesses grow through digital marketing, improving search engine visibility, generating leads, and driving more customers to your business. Those were exactly the services I was looking for, and I felt confident I had found the right company. Once the project began, I was surprised by how much of the website I had to create myself. I wrote nearly all of the content, supplied the photos and video, and even hired a photographer. I expected the website designer to play a much larger role in creating the site, especially given the price I paid. After the website launched, I paid for monthly maintenance and blog services, must providing the photos myself. When I still wasn't receiving inquiries after several months, I followed the owner's (David) recommendation to add paid social media marketing, hoping it would improve my online visibility. Meanwhile, I realized the ongoing blog service depended on the photos I provided. I was encouraged to post additional blogs myself If I wanted to improve visibility. That made me question the value of paying a monthly fee for the service. I also discovered multiple website issues, and they were only fixed after I reported them. One of my biggest concerns involved ownership and access. When I decided to move my website service to another company, I discovered I did not have administrator access to the website I paid to have built. I was told I didn't have admin access because the designer (Scott) didn't want me to accidentally "click the wrong button". After several requests, I was finally added as a second administrator so I could have ownership of my own website and move my business to another website design company. I experienced a similar issue with social media contractor (Britney) when I decided to terminate the service--the accounts I paid to have managed were not under my ownership until I repeatedly requested access. The main coordinator (Sandra) strongly suggested that I should talk to the owner (David) before I decided to terminate the services. The meeting focused heavily on getting more services than solving my concerns. I don't question that the team spent time building my website or managing my accounts. My disappointment comes from the overall value I received compared to the significant amount of time, money, and personal effort I invested throughout the process. This review reflects my personal experience after nearly a year as a paying customer. I hope it helps other small business owners make a well-informed decision before making a similar investment.

But overall my experience with this media production group falls far from good. From the way Gabe treats people to his own employees very rude. Gabe the owner of the business asked my own father the owner of his own business when we were filming in to be quite and it would be best if he stood outside or left his own business while we were in the midst of a "interview" he came up with during the process of attempting to create my video, I paid and wanted and asked for originally. However my father was immediately offended by Gabe's unprofessionalism my father about asked him to drop his camera and leave right there but we ended up continuing to produce media content even my friends and girlfriend couldn't believe how he was acting during this time. Further on this content being filmed was all originally designed by Gabe how ever the idea was mine. The owner gave came up with the idea to intertwine and interview with my original idea to the video I wanted to shoot for my business as I was okay with that as long as I got what I wanted out of this video. We started production back in November. With the holdup of construction at my new location, we have had to halt some of the media production on a very lengthy time frame. However, he is still being paid. Now fast forward to about 2 weeks ago when we started some minimal construction. Gabe sent an employee of his to film some minor interior demolition. Nothing to major. Nothing I thought was content worthy or let's alone enough to claim it was enough for final b-roll so I was very confused because my idea of the video has yet to be even portrayed in the video he sent me already. We started production back November- December. Now Gabe reached out March 27 asking me when he could come wrap up the rest of the content. My response to him was very easy. What do you mean wrap up the content I said we aren't to finish wrapping content up until the other location open? Well if that one single comment didn't lead to a turn for the worst. Gabe ended up telling me that we were not in the same page and what I wanted that it would require more money that he was giving me a bargain already and that what he did was basically not something I could find elsewhere (keep in mind I did 25 minutes later.) the video I requested Gabe to make was to be about max 90 seconds his first video he sent me after edit was 3:42 seconds of content I did not even ask for or want. This is something he wanted to put in my video on top of my idea proceeding to take my original idea away from me and pay him for his idea. Gabe is very young and is talented however lacks and extreme amount of professionalism to be running a business and when you critique his videos he gets incredibly insulted instead of doing what you want for yourself and PAID FOR. At the end of the day I never received any content that was requested by me to be filmed and now since I don't want the content he did and came up with himself he ended telling me to find someone else film and that he would not be giving me a refund on my video. Meanwhile I have no content at all to post. I suggest if you use him don't pay him until the work is done and I also suggest don't let him try to take you creative idea away from your business because he tends to gravitate what he wants to film not what you want to film. $300 cash I gave him as a done payment for a $750 dollar video and now I have to go find another production group to film my commercial my way. I suggest definitely look around before going with him! He will take your money and waste your time.
