We are visiting the Island for vacation and I have never been to a Zips before (at home we have a different chain). After being on the road and with the recent rain, my car was in desperate need of a cleaning. Curtis, the Assistant Manager, couldn't have been friendlier. While vacationing in Hilton Head, I got tree sapp all over my suv. The manager did his best to get the tree sapp off my car, going through 3x's. I'm gonna have to break out the soapy brush when back home. I really do appreciate the efforts of the staff. read more

Overall, my experience with Zip's has been mixed. But there's a superstar at my local car wash. Curtis is wonderful. He knows what he's doing, is efficient and polite, and resolved my problem. Best of all, he remembered my name! That's amazing. I'm staying with Zips now because of Curtis. He deserves acknowledgement for the job he does. read more

may be the biggest rip off in Hilton Head. pay your money , the attendant hits the front of the car or maybe 10 seconds with the power hose, the soap and water never comes on as you go through the tunnel . the drier doesn't do anything and when you get through you have to dry your car and clean the windshield- a joke and a ripoff. read more

Beware!!!! Zips on William Hilton. Used this car wash the other day. Upon driving under the raised bar, as told by attendant, it began to drop down on my vehicle causing damage. The individuals working at this location made no apologies or took responsibility for the damage their automatic arm caused to my vehicle. They have stonewalled my request for damages at every turn starting they are not responsible for the malfunction of their equipment. read more

Closed Tuesday at 630. No explanation or apology. Tried to contact customer service but the bot says it is closed the customer service center is closed. Here now, 4:45pm on a Thursday. All of the vacuums are turned off and no staff in sight. Tried to chat with customer service, and the bot again said that they are closed at 5 central time. So... shouldn't they be open? I pay a membership. This is not good. Not okay. I like this location because the pressured crevice tools work. None of the other Zips in bluffton or Savannah have them operational. Sorry Zips, if you can't rectify these issues I'm moving to your competitor. read more

Just took our brand new Jeep through this car wash for the second time in 3 days. It is the worst was job ever. Thought the first was a mistake, it WAS NOT, the second time through it was the same. The lower half of the side doors were clean but half way up the door it's disgusting. Dirt still on from our travels south. We've used this car wash for at least 5 years, WHAT have you done to ruin it! We need to find out how we cancel our subscription!!! read more

Their Hilton Head location 1008 WILLIAM HILTON PKWY did not do a good job on my truck. As I entered the wash, one guy with a squirt bottle made a half hearted attempt to spray the driver side of the front of the truck seconds before the truck entered the car wash. No one sprayed the other side. Nobody scrubbed the bugs off with a brush. When I exited there was still soap on my mirror and bug remains on my windshield and grill. Overall the wash I received was not worth $18! read more

We enrolled in their unlimited plan yesterday and then proceeded to get the absolute worst wash we've gotten anywhere. At 11:00am there was only one attendant to run the whole show so it seemed pointless to complain at the time. But we're going back today and will just hope our experience was a one off. This Zips car wash on Hilton Head Island is terrible. . Do not use this car wash. Their equipment is faulty and scraped the paint down to the steel on my previously unscathed S550 Mercedes. Although I provided time-stamped video of the car going into the wash tunnel without damage and time stamped video and photos of the scrape that happened, they denied responsibility and I had to pay for it through my insurance. Zips as a corporation is shady. They do not make it easy to contact a human to make the claim. Try to find a phone number.... you cannot. Go to Copper Frog in Bluffton. it is worth crossing bridge to protect your car from Zips . i am disappointed and angry at the lack of integrity this company has shown. LOWEST RATING read more

Great place to spruce up the car before heading back home. Quick and easy, plenty of space to vacuum and clean the interior as well.

I like to wash my car myself but in the winter, when the water is turned off, a car wash is my next best option. Zips Car Wash was not busy first thing in the morning, so I was able to get my car washed in under 10 minutes. The car wash did a perfectly acceptable job of cleaning the dirt off my car. As always with these drive-through washes, the drying cycle wasn't long enough for my liking. Overall, I'd go back. read more

We have had Zips Car Wash membership for 3 years now. We really liked them for about the first 2 years. After that time, they were sold to another company. We decided to go with another car wash company because Zips didn't do as good of a job anymore. We had to call in multiple times to cancel! They kept charging us and said that we never called in. This was the worst car wash I've ever been to! My car full of pollen and bugs from travel, and not only was the pollen not scrubbed off, but even some of the bugs were still hanging off of the side view mirrors when I came out. The dryers do not dry the car even 50%, and none of the chrome was cleaned. This car is brand new, so the finish on the car was not the issue, and when I came out, a tiny bit of wiping with a paper towel took off pollen off of the hood that the car wash did not remove. This car wash cost $30 and was a complete waste of money. Do not go to this car wash!!!!! read more

More of a self service wash. You pay for the wash and level of wash and/or wax you want. You drive the car in and then it rolls through (with you in it) and then you drove to a bay with vacuum, air pressure (to dry off what the drive through did not get) and they offer microfiber cloths and glass cleaner. All in all a pretty good experience for the money. read more

Washed my wife's car there. I prefer TidleWave where I wash my car. Much cleaner and much drier with covered vacuums stations.

Little disappointed. I have a membership with them. They automatically charge me each month. They recently raised their price which I am ok with, but they did not tell any of their members. To me that's shady business. If you don't want to tell current members then just charge new rate for all new members. If u want old members to pay new rate, then you should have alerted them. read more

Dont waste your money. There are much better car washes out there. I joined the club membership and the first few months were fine as they had just accuired the previous car wash. At first there was a person who would have a brush and soapy water and they would get the back of the car but that soon stopped and the back of my car never would get the dirt off of it. I brought it to the attantion of one of the attendants and they said "Thats just the way the wash works and nothing they could do about it" I asked if i could go through the wash again and was told no, i could go only once a day. Also the electronic monitor that reads the sticker on your window stoped working and i would have to sit at the pay entrance every time and wait for an attendant to try and fix. This issue was never resolved. I decided to cancell my club membership and was given the hard sales pitch to stay. I was told that if i stayed they would give me 3 months of washes for $10, so i gave them another chance. However, a few days later they charged me $32. I called (waited on hold for a very long time) I was told they were sorry and would refund my money right away. After a few weeks of not seeing a refund, i had to call again and this time i told them i was done and that i just wanted to cancel my club membership. This time they did give me a refund but about two weeks later i noticed they charged my card $32 again. Now i have to call again and spend my time asking to please cancel my subcription and give me a refund AGAIN. Their car wash always has somthing broken and not working. This place really needs to shut down and there customer service sucks. read more
