    Cheese Pizza

*****FOOD POISING***** The staff was attentive and friendly, which is positive. The negative side is that the calamari came out, and the breading was light, and I thought this was going to set it up for a good meal. I also ordered the cheese pizza. The cheese pizza I have had is better in bowling alleys. The cheese was soupy and was sliding off the pizza. The red sauce tasted sugary, and the crust, you ask? I have had better crust on Tostino pizza. I do not get how the pizza can be this bad off of a place that makes its own pizza. I got sicker than sick from eating the calamari. Before anyone responds, it could have been something else I ate; I only ate a bagel earlier in the day. I have been sick for 27 hours now. Be very mindful of what you eat there.

Well, we were headed to another Italian restaurant in Framingham area. We decided to try Zitis for first time. Noticed glass entrance doors dirty on way in... bad impression , I sat at bar. Saw dirt stuff on floor? Ordered a draft Hazy ale ... cold, no issues except no bar tender ? The guy Vinni running pizza oven and assume owner came over to take my order. He seemed nice guy. Ordered the garlic bread with cheese 7.95 Veal parm with the homemade pasta he recommended at 3 bucks up charge. 1st : garlic bread was a sub roll cut down middle with cheese minimal on it... no garlic taste, no green parley flakes ... not worth 7.95. Veal parm shows... the sauce looks clumpy and not fresh... reheated from a tub or something from previous day or week? Awful Veal Patty breaded again cooked previously, maybe was microwaved as breading falling off the cutlet . Pasta looked fresh but fresh when... a week ago? Didn't seem fresh like I ordered elsewhere. 27 bucks for this... bad decisions end with bad consequences I have been schooled. I eat in the North end weekly , Bella Costa, Giacomo's also up the street from Zitis ... Just had a veal parm at Bella Costa few days prior. These are North end prices for Bertuccis quality or Olive Garden . At least a good salad at Olive Garden... Sorry ; bad meal, bad value, I don't see returning. Maybe the pizzas must be good to attract the other people I saw dining . Hire a chef, appoint a bar tender /waiter. The other waitress behind the bar appeared just focused on her tables with sour look, never said hello , or everything alright? Good bye... I see issues here. Maybe Vinni and pizzas are good? I'll never know now. I'll never return. Th owner responded defensively? I advise take my advise.

At first I was skeptical but the friendly attentive service turned it around. The basket of bread was a bit lame. The waitress was awesome. Came by many times to make sure we had everything we needed. Then the calamari came. It was so good. It was piping hot and delish. The pizza was amazing. They got the crust right which is the most important part of the pizza. It was a Napoli style. I think I will have to order it again next time. The other entrees were good too but I ordered the pizza. Dessert was great. Very traditional. Overall, I like the vibe. Not corporate or chain. Very homey and chill.

    Hot, fresh, served over linguini.

Another delicious Zuppa, love how its now served in the pan. Its the only dish I get when We come here, although I cheated once and had a delicious pizza!

Just 2 of us on a Sunday evening around 7pm. Bartender was also the server. Attentive service with a smile. Very casual decor with a hint of Italy. Food came out quickly and was hot. Both dishes were delicious. Veal scallopini had 2 of the most tender medallions I've eaten. Lots of thin layers of eggplant with the chicken and a generous portion of melted mozz with a tasty marinara sauce. Shakers of red pepper flakes & cheese were readily available. Portions were just the right amount for a slightly larger than average eater. Will return!

Must get the mussel appetizer!!! Save the sauce and get a pizza. The pizza crust tastes amazing with the mussel sauce! Will be returning for this combo! We got butter pasta but I don't recommend that.

Very nice food! Close to the golf range. Every time we finished playing golf, we would like to enjoy foods here. The pasta is delicious and special. I recommend the sea food source.

A Hidden Gem in Wellesley…read more La Toscana's offers a lot more than its facade may suggest. Under the direction of a wonderful new chef, La Toscana's shows what elevated Italian cuisine can be like when care is emphasized from start to finish. We chose to have a milestone birthday celebration at La Toscana's because we had gone there a few weeks prior and were thoroughly impressed. We started the evening with a variety of appetizers including stuffed zucchini flowers, meatballs, and Caesar salads. The stuffed zucchini flowers were an instant favorite at the table-- hot, filled with rich, delicate ricotta, and crunchy on the outside. The meatballs were large, fluffy, perfectly seasoned, and accompanied by the elegant house marinara sauce. The Caesar salad was light and delicious with the welcome addition of sundried tomatoes. We then shared two excellent pizzas-- the margherita for the adults and a cheese for the kids. Both were notable for a crispy thin crust, perfect blend of sweet and tangy marinara, and perfectly balanced cheese. If this weren't great enough, the house-made pasta exceeded expectations. The chef makes the pasta daily and then creates the different types to order right before your very eyes-- in the window of the restaurant. With care and precision, he measures and cuts creating pappardelle, agnolotti, and tortello. Stand-out dishes at the table included the ricotta-filled agnolotti served with a decadent mushroom cream sauce. The pappardelle Bolognese was incredible with the perfect bite to the pasta and a flavorful and balanced meat sauce. The gnocchi with pesto creme is also another dish not to be missed. If you are fortunate enough to strike up a conversation with the chef, you will learn amazing insights into how he thinks about pasta and its preparation as well as his journey to Wellesley. It's a great story! We will certainly be coming back and hope to celebrate more great dinners at La Toscana's.
