And my 2.5 year old son is a hard nut to crack -- we did two photo shoots over the summer while on vacation with family and he only smiled in TWO freakin' pictures (and only then because he was throwing rocks but I digress) -- but Kim managed to coax gorgeous smiles out of him, too!!! I was truly floored when I saw these amazing photos, I cried. I can't believe it's the same kid who refused to smile just a few months ago! I booked Kim for a newborn photography session when my daughter was two weeks old. I originally did…read morenot think I would want or need newborn photos but after my little one was born, I decided I would really like a professional set of photographs to always remember this special time with her. Even though it was last minute Kim was able to fit me in within a week! Kim assured me I was not too late (I read the photos need to be in the first week) and from the start our communication was warm, friendly, and accommodating. Ahead of our session Kim sent me a very detailed layout of what to expect for the day and how to prepare. Kim is a mom herself and it is clear she understands how challenging those first few weeks are. I was so relieved when she told me not to worry too much about our clothing and she just wanted us to be comfortable and natural. Being two weeks postpartum the last thing I wanted to stress about was my appearance. Kim was extremely open to any ideas we had and invited me to send photos of my baby ahead of the scheduled photoshoot as well as any photo requests we had so she could be fully prepared for our session. Kim also made sure to let us know that she was fully vaccinated and would be wearing a mask during our session. Kim's home is beautiful and was a quick drive from the city. When we arrived, she had turned up the temperature, so the space was warm and comfortable for our daughter. It was an extremely calm and relaxed environment and she thought of everything, she had a diaper changing station set up, offered us water, and had a private room for me to feed my baby. Since we do not live close to our families Kim was one of the first people who held our daughter. She was extremely gentle and kind and did such a great job soothing her when she was fussy. In fact, she had such a great technique at getting her to settle I tried it myself when I got her home! Even with a full belly and a calm warm environment my daughter did not want to sleep during the photoshoot so posing her was not as easy since she was awake. Kim was so professional, she would gently position our baby but as soon as she walked away, she would move, often laying face down so a photo was not possible. Kim was always able to roll with the punches and quickly adjust the bedding to get her into a new pose without disturbing her. She was so warm and compassionate throughout the entire experience, telling us how great our baby was doing and how adorable she was. When we got the photos back, we were blown away. They were beautiful and she truly captured our baby's personality. Neither myself nor my husband were excited about having photos of ourselves taken but we are both so glad we did. The focus of the photos is on our daughter, but she was able to capture the love between the three of us. Kim's style is so classic and timeless I know we will be able to enjoy these photos for years to come. I am so happy I booked Kim for my baby Colette's photoshoot and I would highly recommend her to anyone considering working with her.

As a veteran network news producer who has worked with many photographers and videographers over the decades, I was immediately impressed by the level of forethought she brought to the job. So much of great photography is in the preparation. About 75% of the work happens before you ever press the shutter. Execution becomes the easy part when you have real talent, and Atali has both. She planned her coverage with intention, strategically positioning herself throughout the event. She seemed to be everywhere at once, and her engagement with attendees was consistently professional and warm. Attention to detail is rare in a fluid environment, especially when the rundown shifts on the fly. She kept everyone looking their best during group photos, to the point where you might have thought she was the stylist or the publicist. When I later saw the final images on social media and the event website, everything I had observed that day was confirmed: Atali is skilled, reliable, and genuinely passionate about her craft and her clients. I still work in television and have since referred media networks and individual colleagues to her every time I'm asked for a photographer recommendation in DFW (for headshots, events, and branding). In entertainment, media, public relations, and advertising, your reputation is everything, and Atali has earned an excellent one. During that call, a "questionnaire" was briefly mentioned as a planning tool to help organize the shoot -- it was described as something that could help her plan with ideas like making a theme with a memorable item like a bulldog, color palettes or set ideas.i explained to her I just want minimalistic white background, in a few of my business outfits navy, white and black and one scene sitting at a desk. No cutesy themes. After payment was made, I received a lengthy questionnaire that included personal business questions about myself, my company, and my competitors. This requirement and level of detail were never disclosed prior to payment, and the questions felt unrelated to the simple, minimalist concept I had described (white background, desk scene, and outfit changes). When I expressed discomfort and asked to proceed with a simplified shoot, telling her these questions were a bit much and what more does she really need - my email was ignored and the session was canceled with only a few days notice. She then attempted to retain $300 of my payment for "lost studio time" meanwhile not taking accountability for not disclosing that this questionnaire was mandatory prior to taking payment, and not accounting for only telling me it was mandatory with cancelling on me 3 days before the shoot. I also lost a full day of work that had been set aside for the shoot as well as lost money on items such as clothing had bought and rented for the shoot. Additionally, the tone of communication became condescending, and she made personal attacks about my character that I "don't follow instructions " and am "entitled," which I found unnecessary and unprofessional as it shifts from discussing business terms to judging character, which is never acceptable in a client-provider relationship. Although a refund was eventually issued, it was only offered because I pointed out she had no legal grounds to withhold any of my money and it was her decision to cancel on me. the experience left me feeling disrespected and misled about the requirements and communication style. I hope future clients are given full transparency about all pre-session obligations and are treated with professionalism throughout the process.
