Recomiendo venir! Accessibility: the ruins have a paved pathway and ramps for wheelchair accessibility, however the bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible at all. There is one part of the ruins that is up one flight of about 30 stairs and then back down 30, but even not going up this area, the ruins are beautiful. There is green grass and big trees all around the ruins so there is some shade, but there are also lots of sections of no shade and it is VERY hot and humid, so wear sunblock, sunglasses, and a sunhat. Experience: This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. These are Mayan ruins that were uncovered from under the ground and they are big and beautiful. It's amazing you can still see the engravings in the stones. You will also see butterflies and iguanas roaming around, and jaguars come out at night. You can come here by taxi, car, or combi (the public bus/van). There is food and water for sale here outside the ruins, and souvenirs sold outside and around the ruins. You can also hire a tour guide to tell you history for an hour here and walk you through. My group came without a tour group or guide and we still had a beautiful time. I recommend coming! read more
