We went here on the last day of our holiday before we flew home. It's much smaller than our local…read morezoo and we found a lot of the enclosures had very limited viewing areas especially for younger children (we have a 1 year old and a 4 year old). Also we were surprised that a lot of the enclosures had limited grass for the animals. In the goat enclosure the plants were fenced off & we gave them some they seemed incredibly hungry. The facilities were not good. Only 1 set of toilets & a disabled toilet (the baby changing room was closed so I had no choice but change my baby's nappy on a picnic table) & they were not nice. Also there was no where open that sold food!!! We were starving by the time we left & not even icecreams in the gift shop!! That said, some of the animals were great with the gibbons & good bird show. The raptor enclosure was fun, never seen anything like that & my daughter really enjoyed the 2 bouncy castles but a shame there were no swings or slides for my younger son. If you're going to go here take food!!!!

The Zoo has all sorts of animals and is really good for a day trip. There is good food and snack facilities available through the the zoo and is great for the children. There are also water areas for children to play in, but are only available if weather permits. There is a wide variety of shows that include the animals showcased at the zoo and really have great shows that bring out birds and different animals from throughout the zoo. I have always enjoyed the Zoo of Les Sables d'olonne and always recommend people to go and spend the day there! FRANÇAIS- Meilleur zoo sur la côte ouest! Zoo des Sables d'olonne est un grand zoo pour tout le monde! Je vais dans ce zoo depuis des années! Et est idéalement placé en bord de mer et en Hôtel Mercure. Il y a aussi des zones d'eau pour les enfants à jouer, mais ne sont disponibles que si le temps le permet. Il y a une grande variété de spectacles qui comprennent les animaux présentés au zoo et ont vraiment de grands spectacles qui font ressortir les oiseaux et les différents animaux de partout dans le zoo. J'ai toujours aimé le zoo des Sables d'olonne et recommander toujours des gens pour aller passer la journée là-bas!
