Only been in once so far but seems a solid basic fish and chips place. Chips are really good and still nice an hour later cold (I ocouldn't come close to finishing the small portion). The cod was good, a bit greasy but no more so than expected. Only complaint is that the hours are not posted yet, would be nice to know if it's going to be an option when coming home late on the train for example.

This branch seems pretty organised, i've never been here and had to wait long to get served even on a saturday when it's really busy! On the other hand, getting a table to eat what you've just bought is another thing altogether! Very busy up here at weekends, i'd almost say dont bother, but i know there's not a great deal more on offer on the high street either!

We even received a christmas card off them last year! The prices are cheap and they usually offer some meal deal menus with freebies, and stamps when you've had six to get a free meal! Only fault is you don't get free prawn crackers with your order, unlike every other chinese in shirley. I've never faulted the taste of the food either, always what it is supposed to be and tastes great. Highly recommended

The service is second to none - speedy without compromising the quality of the food - everything is always cooked well and I have never suffered a slightly dodgy tummy after eating here. There is a 50p charge if you pay for your food by debit or credit card but you get free garlic bread if you spend a tenner or more. You can place an order for delivery and I have never had to wait more than the stated time - usually I wait about 30 minutes but the maximum was 45 mins on a weekend. There is a good selection of food to choose from - kebabs, lots of burgers, various pizzas which you can change to your liking - and more. The prices are very reasonable and there are many offers around if you goo in person and collect. Staff here are friendly and easy to understand - my only fault with them is that they are quite heavy handed with the sauces so be sure to say just a little mayo etc when ordering. Well worth it

I don't think you have many other options though in Winchester if you fancy a kebab at this time of night! Its the better one of the 2 or 3 options.

At the collection window, my order was just given to me, not checked back. I noticed from what I had ordered that I was missing a happy meal, it became apparent the App failed to record one of my happy meals, McDonald's solution was for me to drive around the Drive Thru again and reorder the said meal, this was a very busy lunch time and would have taken 10-15 minutes, whilst my current order would have gone cold, I spoke with the Shift Manager and Assistant Manager separately and they were both rude and unwilling to practice any decent customer service and rectify this fault with their own processes. In fact when I pointed out that they had a front counter till they could ring the order in the Shift Manager told me the till was so busy that it was not possible and the Assistant Manager told me that they didn't have any front counter tills - so one of them if not both of them were lying. After this several minute altercation and by the time we got home the food was cold and inedible. My advice is don't go to this unit, clearly they are busy and customers are just numbers, they clearly don't care about the service, food quality or tine it takes to be served. It is opposite HMS Collingwood so there are often chaps in uniform in there if that's your thing! The drive thru is good and if there is a queue forming they take your order whilst you are in the queue to minimise waiting time. Compared to other McDonalds this is good.

I have used this place regularly as a takeaway after first using it purely because they do a home delivery service, which is free for orders over £12.00 and within a 2 mile radius. They charge an extra £1 for orders under £12 and over a 2 mile radius. The delivery service is second to none,no sooner have you phoned the order through, it's there at your door and is piping hot. Having used its delivery service, I have continued to use them as their food is by far the best in the Fareham area and the family who own the premises are extremely friendly and will cook anything you would like them to. As the mother said 'We will cook anything you want to order, it is impossible to list everything we can or will do on a menu, you only have to ask' The restaurant is small but is ideal for those cosy intimate nights when you don't want the noise from a larger premises. One of the tables is imported from China and is a huge black circular highly polished table with a massive lazy susan built into it and is gorgeous in itself.
