The rest of us had a sampler of appetizers. Smoked plum wrapped in bacon with a cranberry relish. Goat cheese toasted on a sweet bread. Pierogi. And for dinner, we had family style. What makes this place special? A lot of things: - food is exceptional. Always fresh, always tasty, always special, made out of best local ingredients. The menu is not very long, but there's no chance you can try everything. Presentation of the food is excellent as well, it is being served on the world famous, hand made Boleslawiec pottery. - the place looks very nice. Old, wooden house well restored, you eat surrounded with wooden art forms made by some local artist - and a fireplace. And a playground for kids in the garden - and the pond, where the fishes live. - service is excellent as well. You are being waited by really beautiful women dressed in local, traditional dresses, the whole combination is just excellent. At the beginning I mentioned, that the place is worth a long drive. If you are looking for accommodations that are close to Auschwitz, this is extremely close. It is only a few minutes by car. The hotel is on the outskirts of Oswiecim.
