Octopus-so charred that it was bitter Sea bass-fantastic: mild taste, buttery, perfectly cooked. The Cauliflower Puree was smooth and a tasty, balanced bite when eaten together with the fish and sauce Short rib over risotto-tender, deeply flavored meat and generous amount of red wine sauce over creamy risotto was delicious. It was a year ago, almost to the day, that we had dinner here and were glad to see that it was as good this time around as last. We again ate inside because of the humidity but both inside and out are beautiful. The Tuna Poke appetizer was not only large but fantastic with what seemed to be almost a quarter to a half pound of excellent tuna. The Baked Oysters with garlic Parmesan were good but slightly overpowered by the cheese. The Chilean Sea Bass with cauliflower purée, butter mustard vinaigrette and Hazelnut Cream was delicious. The Special Seafood dish was a North Atlantic Cod in a white wine butter sauce with olives, capers, artichokes and Feta. Mind-blowing!! We were excited to finally come here after trying a couple weekends ago and it was full. The vibes are beautiful. The outdoor area is really dreamy and quite warm. But the food is really not it. They're trying to do way too much with each dish. There are a lot of clashing flavors and textures that don't fit and they don't hide the lackluster cooking. Reservation required! We ventured to Zoubi on a Saturday night after seeing a glimpse of its quaint patio seating. Let me tell you, the menu did not disappoint at all! We started with a round of cocktails (lavender lemon drop + spicy Paloma) and they were excellent. Our appetizers were the Zoubi Caesar, Eggplant Milanese and Buratta dishes, which we all shared. Moderately portioned and beautifully plated. Zoubi is definitely one of those hidden gem places that "feeds" you through visuals. Our main entrees were the 16 oz NY Strip, Crabcake and Salmon. Each dish was impeccable in both taste and visual detail. Sea urchin cream and wasabi caviar danced around my perfectly cooked salmon filet. Dessert was very delicious as well, and our check was accompanied by a few macarons. In every single way, this was a 5 star experience start to finish. I'll take it a step farther and say this was one of the top five meals I've had in my entire life. Let's start with the space itself- it's honestly just beautiful and incredibly unique. Relaxing but not stuffy and still extremely classy all at once. Our server was amazing - I wish I remembered her name but just down to Earth, super attentive, and just seemed like a person my wife and I would mesh with even if she wasn't on the clock. So it seems like 7-8 months ago something happened with a change in management- do not let that deter you from going. Zoubi is superb. Whatever issue they had has been all worked out. Everything from the food, to drinks, service and ambience was outstanding. Truly, what a special restaurant. We had the kale Caesar, roasted beets, shrimp with anchovy butter, seared tuna and short rib- one thing was better than the next. Often when we've gone to a restaurant that has incredible detail to presentation- you get a tiny meal and leave hungry. The portions here are filling- my biggest gripe was that I was so full I didn't have room for dessert because I know it would have been outstanding like everything else we had. Wow! What a great spot. This place is a hidden gem in New Hope. It's located on a less busy street and parking is not available on the street outside Zoubi . However a quick 2 minute walk to the municipal building there is ample parking that you can pay via ParkMobile. Laurent greatest us and seated us on the patio. He checked out through our dining experience. Mark our waiter was attentive and assured by other restaurant staff. Really great service! This place is mostly outside but under cover. From the photos I have posted you can tell it is a great setting to dine outdoors! The garden dining adds to the charm of Zoubi for certain. The food was delicious and well plated. The timing of food was on point. I enjoyed the Beet Street cocktail (bourbon and beet juice with lemon and thyme). The grilled octopus and Tuna were very good. Came here last night for a girls getaway weekend. We had to wait 20 minutes for our table when we had a reservation. Our waiter was EXTREMELY rude and inattentive. We had a 6:45 reservation and was not seated until 7:15 then realized that half the place was empty inside. We did not receive our dinner until after 8:30 after complaining about how disappointed we were with the service. Amazing New French-style restaurant in a chic setting. We took our friends here for their anniversary and the experience was fantastic. We started with grilled octopus, oysters and shrimp. All three were perfectly prepared with the octopus being our favorite - prepared Spanish style with chorizo and potato. I opted for the grilled pork chop which I'm fairly certain was sous vide'd first. It came out a perfect medium as requested and was topped with a rich demi glaze. We paired this with a wonderful French Pinot which paired with my dish and the other entrees. As we had the chef/owner as our server the service was perfect as he was highly engaging and friendly. Zoubi delivered an excellent dining experience. The beautiful patio on a balmy summer evening surrounded by creeping vines and flowers was reminiscent of being in Provence. We started with the baked oysters served with a charred lemon- I normally prefer raw oysters ( also available) but these cooked oysters were delicious. Each of the dishes from the appetizers- Octopus, Tabouli salad with anchovies and the signature Tuna Poke shared between four of us, were delicious. The mains highlighted by the famous crab cake with crawfish and andouille sausage ( to call this a crab cake is a gross under representation which at $65 it should be!) was exceptional as were the sesame crusted Tuna and Sea Bass. We picked a white premier cru Burgundy which while still too young was already sublime and Zoubi's stems were very elegant, something found all too rarely in restaurants these days. We made reservations well in advance, and couldn't have predicted the heat wave that coincided with our reservation! We were offered indoor or outdoor seating - and also assured we'd have a fan that helped break the heat index of 100F+ ! We were graciously greeted and seated - service was attentive but not smothering. My better half had the house salad, grilled octopus for myself - delicious! She had the crab cake, the swordfish for me - we were both very happy with the presentation, flavors and temperature all perfect! For years I have been wanting to try this restaurant and finally got the opportunity. I was very excited and the reviews were awesome. Maybe my expectations were just too high. It was good but I was not "wow'd" as I expected to be. First I tried to move my 5:30 reservation on "open table" to a later time but no availabilty to move it. Restaurant opens at 5pm which left no time to call to change therefore we kept the 5:30. Several tables had reserve signs on them but through our dinner only 4 tables occupied the entire time...2 tables turned over but that was it. I assumed they didn't have the staff and kept it managable. As others have mentioned, the atmosphere is awesome...and yes, that is a "wow" and fun feeling that you want to be part of. We were seated at a wooden table and within seconds I noticed several small bugs crawling on the table. I didn't want to complain so I mushed them. I was getting very distracted and not relaxed by these bugs. By the 6th bug I had to say something. Waiter told me "we are outside after all." Hmm...ok still we moved to a marble table and guess what...no more bugs the entire time. Plus, I noticed several more bugs as we stood up from that wooden table. Decisions, decisions...wine or martinis?? Tough choice. Went with martinis thinking we would have wine with main meal. The drinks were a generous pour and excellent even though mine needed more olive juice. Never got to the wine bc the martinis lasted through our dinner. My very dirty vodka martini was not dirty...waiter quickly brought a small carafe of olive juice...unfortunately a small spider or bug was in that carafe. At first we thought it may be a piece of olive and waiter didn't take it away but as I poured the olive juice into my drink it was clearly a bug. The bug stayed in the carafe as I poured and I can't believe I did this but, and I hate to complain, so I just drank my martini as if I didn't see it. The house vodka is very smooth btw. After a while I showed the waiter the bug and he just took the carafe away. The guys at the table nearby mentioned to us that the house salad was the best ever. We were fluctuating between a few salads but their recomendation was so convincing that we went with it. It was a generous portion however, we both wished we got the other salads...it really wasn't anything extra special. Everything on the menu sounded very good and I even checked out the yelp pictures before arriving. I picked the ahi tuna with soba noodles. My Daughter picked the salmon. The ahi tuna was stringy but good. I have had better. The salmon was the winner. Over the top delicious. A couple nice touches from the restaurant...two soft rolls with truffle butter and a olive tomatoe type dipping for our bread was brought out. Very tasty and good. Also 2 mini macaroons and sparkler for my Daughter's birthday completed our meal. So overall, I still recommend this unique and whimsical restaurant. We were greeted and shown to our table by the friendly host. We both love the atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant. Our waitress was equally friendly and discussed the menu with us - so many wonderful choices. We ordered a bottle of Albariño wine and started off with the grilled octopus appetizer - which was awesome.
