The major issue once upstairs is that despite a ticketed waiting sytem the waits are often very long. If you have a young toddler with you who has been sitting in the buggy for a while but has to get out because of the stairs they then want to run about, however the wide stairs with no protection are a disaster waiting to happen - I have seen so many little ones running for them and only being stopped just in time.
