Outstanding views from every point, fast and efficient lifts and very nice amenities--great lookout area at the top of the cable car and nice dining options. However, on a day with clouds I would opt to ski on the Garmisch side because you would miss out on the wonderful views. Also, I highly recommend take the cable car to the top of the mountain instead of the cog train. Its faster and most of the cog train ride is in tunnels on the mountain so you can't enjoy the mountain views. I'm from Colorado and having skied nearly every ski resort in the state, Zugspitze still ranks in my top favorite spot. read more
