This place is a good smoothie option if you're in the area. Probably wouldn't take a drive of more than 10 minutes for it though.
The place claims to be fresh, but most of the products are frozen fruit based. We ordered several items. I got a Waikiki smoothie with is basically a Mango Smoothie. It has frozen mango chunks, pineapple juice, and some extremely sweet mango purée. They give you the great option of sweetening the smoothie with sugar or Splenda... that is until you realize the mango purée probably already has a ton of sugar.
My cousin got a mango, tamarind, and chamoy smoothie that tasted extremely bland. I feel like it would taste much better is the base was mango juice instead of water. The chili powder was very bitter and didn't actually compliment the flavor at all.
My brother got a lemonade that was pretty good. But, I do like my lemonade more on the acidic side.
Service was slow and everything is made to order.. including the lemonade which I thought was cool until I had to wait for the sugar to dissolve... Service is slow probably because it is a one lady stand. She takes orders, preps, makes, and charges.
Prices are extremely reasonable though. read more
