That is a shame because I actually like grunge bars since it takes me back to my days of heavy metal music. Mind you, many of these places don't do the classic rock, though the Van Halen insignia on the ceiling does indicate that this one does. However, as I mentioned, it didn't really stick in my mind, but that may have something to do with it being superceded by another that was just down the road, and also that it was getting to the end of the night as well and I was somewhat exhausted.

Maybe it had a lot to do with not being allowed to smoke inside, but the thing was that the atmosphere was inside, not out (though maybe it being a Dusseldorf pub means that most people end up outside). Anyway, this is what I call a dive bar, though I suspect that my interpretation and other people's interpretations may differ significantly. Still, I aboslutely loved the place, and in fact love it so much that I went back for another beer the next night.

A pub you must love or hate. The pub is not much designed…read morebut I love it as it is. I love the rocking chair on the wall too. Another detail and always a story worth is the phone box and it is still working. Something not that nice is the bathroom, probably more important for women. Therefore, you should not spend too much time there. The staff is always friendly but sometimes you need to ask for attention. However, if you have been there a lot, you get what you want as you come in to the room. All together the pub is nice and I love to go there for a beer or even more. It is worth to try it!

Later at night it seems the really sloppy wasted types take this place over, so it's not much fun if you're not drunk yourself. It's a Geschmackssache, as the Germans would say.
