We are here visiting a friend who is stationed at Rammstein airbase and was looking for a place…read morethat was open since it was Sunday. I found it here and yelp and decided with my friend to try. We walked in to such a very quaint beautiful restaurant. The owner and cook were so pleasant and welcoming. We started off by ordering the Pikilia dip that has 4 different kinds of dips. Every one was excellent. The bread served was warmed with garlic olive oil. We also got Dolmadakia. These grape leaves were perfect. The chef mentioned he just rolled them. For dinner we shared our meals and ate the Spiess Des Hauses which is a pork medallion that is stuffed that comes with fries. You can substitute for other sides such as rice but we chose the potatoes which we did. The flavor and spices gave it such a delicious taste and was cooked perfectly. The other dish we got was the Pikilia Kreaton which is a mest combination dish that had gyro, souvlaki, and bikteki that came with French fries. Again another executed dish. Each meat was cooked perfectly and spiced slightly different to give it its own flavor. We finished off with a desert that was made by the chef. It was an scoop of ice cream with nuts that went over the top with some chocolate syrup and it was so so good. If I lived here I would be eating this food every day. You can taste the love and authenticity that goes into every dish here. The owner and chef have strong pride in what they are serving and want every customer happy and satisfied. If I am ever back in this area I will def be back. Thank you for such a great meal. I would give you 10 stars if I could!!!!

The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice beds and bathrooms. My room looked out over the street in front of the hotel and offered a nice view as well as abundant fresh air. The hotel is set in the village of Winzeln but it is quiet and there is ample free parking for your car. The restaurant is first rate with delicious cuisine of the area and very good service from the staff. They also feature local wines and beers. One night I had the Pfalz menu, and the other night I had the fish menu. The cuisine is very good. So good I would choose to eat there every night for several nights before I grew tired of the menu. I highly recommend the Hotel-Restaurant Kunz in Pirmasens-Winzeln Germany.

I was able to call in and place my order although there have been times I have gone in to place it and wait about 20 minutes for preparation. The food has been consistently good. There are two doors to which one is always locked. Enter the door on the very corner as the doors next to the outside menu are always closed. Was able to communicate in English as I don't know German and the gentleman was very kind and patient.
