No, I didn't plan on buying it from them because as I already wrote, their service sucks. Well, again, they proved this correct. Went there, no one cared to help someone out. Sure, I wasn't going to buy anything but they couldn't know this anyway. Again, Assos is really expensive stuff and not one person in the store bothered to even say hi to me. No problem....I tried the stuff I wanted on to figure out sizing and check out colors and as soon as I came home, ordered online from a US retailer. Saved at least 40% on the price von Hacht charges and know everything will fit as I wish (yes, I have the benefit of regularly getting over to the US). Thanks for at least this von Hacht. I'll be back in the future to try stuff on which I'll then purchase elsewhere. You'll eventually go out of business anyway since all the bike chains will squeeze you on prices at the local level and the rest of the nails in your coffin will come from online businesses. Enjoy your time will you still can.
High-end products, bottom of the barrel service. This place tries to play the premium card but completely fails on the service side. Walk in the store but don't expect anyone to ask whether you need help. Take a look at a bike for €10k and wonder why no one wants to sell it to you. I literally spent at least 10 minutes in the showroom without even one person asking me whether they could help. No one even acknowledged my presence. Was both in the bike store and the clothing store across the way. Not one person (and there were lots of employees around without customers) asked me if I wanted anything. I simply decided to say screw it. I know bike parts having been a mechanic myself and having worked in a bike shop. I know online stores and I'll continue buying there for much better prices than von Hacht. I thought I'd give von Hacht a chance as I spend quite a bit of money on high-end bikes and parts yet after this experience, I surely won't be back. The missing service often mentioned with online stores is just as absent in this physical retail outlet. What a shame and opportunity missed!
