She carries amazing collections form Italy, France, Spain, and other parts of Europe. They provide alterations. Delevanti has a really nice selection of cocktail dresses and probably one of the best knitwear styles in the city. It is an old school dress shop where the sales people really dress you. This is not the kind of shop you can just walk into and choose something off the rack. I have bought several coats over the years and they are truly timeless. When I am in europe i feel I fit the part. The owner has helped me with making a selection for a cruise and I kept getting complements on my outfits night after night. This store is truly a hidden gem. Many women who can afford to shop anywhere come here, for the selection , exclusivity of the garments and the service. Whenever I have a gala I come here, because I know no one will have the same dress as me!

Bad customer service is also the main reason why customers leave companies. Today I experienced the worst customer service face-to-face experience in my life. Yesterday, Saturday December 5th 2009 at approximately 11 a.m I went to the Cavendish mall to have a coffee. I passed by the DELEVANTI store (not the one for children but the one for adults) and I saw a nice dress. I entered the store to see the dress, ask for the price and see other dresses (As I have two Christmas parties coming soon and I am searching for a special outfit). There were two 'ladies' for customer service, the older one was the rudest person working for customer service I have ever seen. She asked me if I was going to try the dress and I said that today I just wanted to see the dresses. She literally told me that if I wasn't going to try the dress today it was better if I leave and come another day. I say to her that I wanted to see what type of dresses they have and the prices too. She said again, come back some other day when you are 'ready'. Ready for what?? If I wanted I could have purchased one dress that day...but obviously she wasn't encouraging that AT ALL!!! I insisted that I wanted to see the dresses and because this is a free country I walked towards the rack where they have the dresses. She literally said to the other lady..."I think she doesn't understand". I reply to her: I understand what you are saying but I want to SEE, to SEE the dresses! so I went and do that...she then said to me: Now I need to be standing next to you while you see the dresses and you are wasting my time!!!!! That's what she said...Me, a potential customer, I was wasting her time!!!! There was no other customer on the store ...zero! I just looked at her and said do you really need to be standing next to me "wasting your time" Amazing!!!!!! I left the store and I will never come back again. On top of that I am planning on tell all the people I know at work, at McGill university where I study and literally to all the people I can how bad is the customer service in that store.

My sister wanted something we could take back home today. Wedding dress and evening gown attire shop separated on 2 floors. The place is gorgeous! The choices and the quality of the stocks is a notch higher. I personally really loved the salesperson that worked with us. She was on the spot, just there enough but not imposing herself. She made my sister tried a veil even if she said didn't want it, but was so Randy-Fenolli-Right and was a great help. My only concern was the downstairs staff that looked blasé and arrogant. They spoiled the mood a little. But in the end. The floofy tulle and glitzy glitter bling of this place makes me forget about it.

She asked me to take off my coat & then started selecting a few dresses she visioned on me :) being a Libra lol I found this most helpful! Hehehehe Her professionalism, insight & easy going personality not to mention her patience made this shopping experience most pleasant. On my recent trip to Montreal, I visited this store twice. The first time was just a "recon" visit…read more(lol!) with friends who were avid fans of Aritzia. For my part, I had never even heard of the store but, while here with friends, I was very impressed by the selection and quality of the clothing I saw. The prices seemed high, but I decided I would return in the next few days to check things out at my leisure. I liked the two-leveled set up of the store, too, with both an ascending escalator in the front and a grandiose staircase in the rear, with changing rooms on both floors. I also like the projected video of fashions displayed on the wall by the escalator and the friendly security guard who greeted me when I entered. The whole place had an artsy-type vibe to it. The clothes all seemed to be of high quality and none of the fashions were too...trendy or edgy. They were all more classic, basic pieces: chunky sweaters, cardigans, pants, skirts, belts and scarves, etc. (Note that this store caters only to women). I really like the Rasa bras with the super-thick straps (kinda dominatrix-y. lol! I thought they were super cool), so I got 3 of them in different colored trims on my return visit. They had a model with white strap trim that I really wanted but they didn't have my size (only a few extra-small and one large). I asked a sales lady on the floor (a young woman about 20 with super long brunette hair. Wish I had taken note of her name) if they had any more of these bras with the white trim in stock. This gal was super nice and friendly and said she'd check her computer. I followed her to the computer station where she checked and said no, they haven't any more of these particular bra models. BUT, she added, the Aritzia store in the Eaton Center (five blocks east) had three of these bras in my size! Argh. I had just come from there and was walking the 3 miles west back to my folks' house. Oh well, I figured I'd backtrack (despite the 90 degree heat wave) and go to Eaton Center to get this bra. I really liked it and hey, maybe the extra walk would compensate for all the wonderful Montreal meals I'd been eating (hahaha. I'd have to walk cross-country for that to happen. But I digress....). I wandered back to Eaton Center and checked out the Aritzia store there. It was way smaller and had a much smaller inventory, but was still well laid-out with the basics there. I didn't see my bra there - only the other models (which I had already purchased). I stopped a sales girl there, asking where I could find this bra in with the white trim, noting the other store said they had 3 of them in stock here in my size. They checked on their computer and said no, the other store was "mistaken". They don't have ANY such bras in their store, not in any size. ARGH. I must add that the sales gal here wasn't too thrilled to help me out. I got the distinct impression that I was putting her out. ARGH. So my shlep 5 blocks east was for naught , and I started the long walk back to my parents' house, passing the other Aritzia store on the way. Such is my experience with these two stores. (I'm rating the store 3 stars because I do love my purchases from here and their product line is sound. Just wish their sales staff got their act together and some were more pleasant).

In the 15 minutes i was there no one offered me help. I found what i was looking for and another similar style in case the one i had selected wasn't the perfect fit. I didnt have time to try things on so i got in line to pay. The 3 cashiers behind the counter were super rude and when i asked if my purchase was refundable one yelled out:No! Bras final sale! At that point the two bralettes were already scanned and wrapped up. Then i was forced to disclose my full name (???!) even after saying i would rather not to "print the receipt" Since when do you have to take down the identity of the client to print a receipt for underwear? Horrendous experience. Will stick to shopping online

I guess my Jimmy Choo heels and DVF dress were not flashy enough for the sales girls because every sales girl looked down her nose at me and I was followed around like a hawk around every single nook and cranny as if I was about to shoplift or something. I went in there knowing what I wanted to buy, but now I'll be seeing if I can purchase it anywhere else in Montreal besides Lyla.
