Thrift shopping is one of the cheapest things you can do in Switzerland. Zurich is expensive, so this is what I like to do when I'm on a layover in the city. Zürcher Brockenhaus is one of my favorite places to pass the time after grocery shopping (another way to save money). This place is massive, with three floors of curated objects, clothing, and furnishings, and the staff is always nice. I wish I could bring the big pieces home! I always find something cool here. Zürcher Brockenhaus - Thrift Stores Near Me - Zürich, ZH

Three levels packed with furniture, kitchen wares, lighting, music, 'velos', gardening stuff, some art, and, heck, just plain old fun stuff to look at. We were on the hunt for a wardrobe as flats don't seem to have a lot of closets, if any at all, and found a sizable amount on the ground floor of Brockenhaus. I'd say the prices ranged anywhere from 300 to 1000 CHF, depending on quality and such. While we didn't purchase anything given that we don't yet have a flat, we 'filed' away what we would like when we do have a place to put it in, so, Brockenhaus, we'll see you again! read more

This is the best brocki I have ever been to both in and outside of Switzerland. This place is 4 floors (I think it was 4, might be 3) of vintage and second hand delight. They have a great children's selection of toys and furniture. There is vintage clothing and the piece de resistance is the top floor furniture. SOme of the most beautiful vintage pieces I have ever seen. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to really explore all there is on offer. read more

The best Brocki in town !!! This second hand store is the biggest and nicest one in town. The have 3 floors. Ground floor you have the seasonal furniture and objects. It change quite a lot. The first floor you have clothes, chairs & tables and kitchen stuff. Up you have the very cool vintage furniture. The really pay attention to their selection of objects. I always could buy something here. Only the clothes department is not that attractive for me. It could be better. But for that I go to a selected second hand clothes store. The staff is nice and helpfull. Just pay attention, it can be pricy. read more

I just think of what I need and it magically appears! One of my favorite second-hand shops I have ever been to. The women's clothing department has many brand new items donated by shops wanting to get rid of last season's stock. It is a great place to go even if you just want to spend some time while waiting for your train to arrive. It's close to the station! read more

This thrift store has some nice stuff. Most of the items are SOMEWHAT reasonably priced. But, the records were priced individually and I gave up looking at them after most of the ones i saw were 8 to 17 dollars each! They had some beautiful Mid-Century Modern furniture, but the piece I really liked was $1,800!!!!! Too many expensive items for a thirft store. Still worth checking out. read more
